I, in short, it is said to practice until the five poisons and other eight worldly concerns are not under control. Second, explain the branch of the difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowment. Third, explain the branch of impermanence, which is that even if obtained, it is of no benefit. Fourth, explain the cause and effect of karma, where the happiness and suffering of death are immeasurable. Fifth, explain the faults of samsara, because even if one obtains immeasurable merits of the heavenly realms through acceptance and rejection, one has not transcended samsara. Therefore, an unwillingness to separate from practice arises. The order of explaining these should be understood elsewhere. These five Dharma sessions are the order of transforming into mind training. The second meaning, in terms of making Dharma enter the path, the preliminaries are completed with six points. Among them, first, explain the three types of bodhicitta, especially explaining the bodhicitta like a shepherd, which is the superior pure intention, and have them meditate. Second, explain the branch of refuge and have them take refuge. Third, explain the branch of the mandala and have them meditate. Fourth, explain the branch of Vajrasattva and have them practice. Fifth, bestow the four empowerments that open the door to the Dharma. Sixth, explain the guru yoga, the root of common and supreme attainments, and have them meditate. Its branches should be understood and explained elsewhere. These complete the order of preliminaries. The second general meaning, making Dharma enter the path from the perspective of the main practice, is twofold: the order of emphasizing method and the order of emphasizing wisdom. There are four that emphasize method: the Six Dharmas of Naropa, the non-duality of Naropa's prana and mind, the introduction to Naropa's three bodies. These are both common dharmas, and because it is itself a path, there is also the instruction of making Naropa's messenger the path. The order of these instructions is also the same up to guru yoga. By establishing a foundation with guru yoga, then guide according to their respective texts, and guide through various methods until the reality of Mahamudra is not realized. Second, there are three that emphasize wisdom: coemergent union, direct breakthrough, and one-flavored thorough cut. The order of these is also the same up to guru yoga. After that, establish a foundation with guru yoga, and then through their respective visualization orders, guide until the view of Mahamudra has not arisen in the mindstream. Here, the main focus is on these two: direct breakthrough and one-flavored thorough cut.

Since it is a supreme Dharma, during Guru Yoga, the key points of the body posture are introduced as they are, but it is difficult for those with inferior intelligence to understand. This is the sequence that mainly shows wisdom. Whether guided by the sequence that mainly shows skillful means or the sequence that mainly shows wisdom, as long as the view of Mahamudra, the stainless insight, arises in the mind stream as it is, it is the sequence of entering the path of Dharma. These are the instructions for the basic guidance. ཨྠྀི (Tibetan, Devanagari Sanskrit, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) Eliminating wrong paths and manifesting wrong paths as wisdom are the sequences of the path and the fruit. Among them, first, realizing the stainless reality, distinguishing between co-emergent wisdom and subsequent wisdom, and after experiencing and realizing, completely perfecting freedom from elaboration as it is, this is eliminating wrong paths. In short, because the wrong views including the eight extremes are eliminated, it is called the path of eliminating wrong paths. This is the sequence of path guidance, which should be understood from the mouth of the Guru. Manifesting wrong paths as wisdom means that after perfecting one taste and the great perfection of no meditation, manifesting the glorious Vajrasattva himself as he is, thereby spontaneously accomplishing the two benefits. In short, understanding all the dharmas of samsara and nirvana, the spontaneously accomplished equality, the wisdom of stainless great bliss, knowing as it is and as far as it is, and realizing the inconceivable great realm. This is called manifesting wrong paths as wisdom. This is the sequence of fruit guidance, which should be understood from the mouth of the Guru. (Tibetan, Devanagari Sanskrit, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) Relying on the path of skillful means to generate Mahamudra, there are times when the path and the fruit are distinguished in an instant, and there are times when the path and the fruit need to be traversed sequentially. At the appropriate time, the characteristics should be understood. From then on, if the illusory body, inner heat, and the four lights of those who arise gradually and those who transcend the senses are thoroughly mastered as they are, if the four are thoroughly mastered as they are, if the four are not thoroughly mastered, then it is a guiding means. For those who transcend the senses at once, there is no such sequence, and liberation will occur through skillful means at the time of mere symbols. Such a person is very rare. If such a person appears, there is nothing that cannot become a means. These are brief notes on the methods of teaching the Kagyu oral instructions. Detailed supplements should be understood elsewhere. (Tibetan, Devanagari Sanskrit, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning)
