If it is missing, it is because all sentient beings have the heart of Bodhi, so use compassion to eliminate its obstacles. This is a good explanation. The third is: These six places, in order like the great sea, the sun and the sky treasure, should be known like clouds and wind. It is said that in order to make the reason for the continuous work of the Tathagata, these six places of meaning should be combined and understood like metaphors and meanings in order. That is, like the great sea, the spotless sun, the boundary of the sky, the great treasure, the destructible clouds, and the power of the great wind that can blow away. The fourth is: Because it is full of the water of wisdom and the precious treasures of merit, the land is like the sea. For the benefit of all sentient beings, the two accumulations are like the sun. Because it is vast and boundless, Bodhi is like the sky. Because of the Dharma nature of complete and perfect enlightenment, the realm of sentient beings is like a treasure. Because it is sudden and pervasive and has not been established, its afflictions are like clouds. In order to dispel it, it abides, so great compassion is like a strong wind. It is said that because it has the water of immaculate wisdom, as well as the precious treasures of merit such as supernatural powers, the ten Bodhisattva grounds that must be produced are like the sea. In order to benefit all sentient beings, it nourishes and benefits them with happiness and closeness, so the factors that show closeness, the two accumulations of merit and wisdom are like the sun. Because it is vast by pervading everything, and deep by being boundless and without center, their fruit, the great Bodhi, is like the boundary of the sky. Because of the Dharma nature of complete and perfect enlightenment, and the inexhaustible wealth of merit, it exists naturally from the beginning, so the realm of sentient beings that should be completely taken, the self-nature pure Tathagata-garbha is like a great treasure. Because it is a sudden thing that can be abandoned, and it pervades the self-nature, and because it has not been established in the ultimate meaning, the obstacle of that realm, which is pure in nature, is affliction.

Afflictions are like thick clouds. To dispel afflictions like clouds and guide beings to the right path, due to their proximity, the cause for eliminating obstacles is like the inexhaustible and extremely powerful force of the wind of great compassion. Fifth: Liberation due to the power of others, and seeing oneself and sentient beings as equal, because the deeds are not yet complete, therefore, the deeds in samsara never cease. As it is said, in the past, during the path of learning, one vowed to liberate all sentient beings, and was liberated by the path of only benefiting others. After attaining enlightenment for the benefit of others, seeing oneself and sentient beings as equal only in the essence of Buddhahood, therefore knowing that the deeds are meaningful. Because the realm of sentient beings is boundless, in order to place all beings on the ground of Buddhahood, the deeds are not yet complete. Therefore, as long as samsara is not empty, the deeds of the Buddhas will never cease. The third of the root, explained very extensively with metaphors, is divided into two: briefly showing the differences of metaphors, and explaining the meaning of metaphors in detail. The first is: Indra's drum, clouds, Brahma, and the four of sun, jewel, and precious jewel, thus the Tathagata is like a sound, like space and earth. As it is said, the activities of the Buddhas, in a way that is spontaneously accomplished without discrimination and never ceases, are in accordance with the faculties of those to be tamed, and there are nine types of metaphors that can represent this, namely: the metaphor of showing the body, such as the image of Indra appearing on the ground of lapis lazuli; the metaphor of proclaiming the holy Dharma, such as the sound of the heavenly drum; the metaphor of wisdom and compassion pervading everything, such as clouds; the metaphor of showing various bodies, such as Brahma performing the activities of the desire realm gods without leaving his own place; the metaphor of generating wisdom, such as the sun generating rays; the metaphor of the inconceivable secret of the mind, such as the wish-fulfilling jewel generating the desired objects; the metaphor of the inconceivable secret of the Tathagata's speech, such as the echo of a mountain valley, which, although not real, can show various things to be said; the metaphor of the inconceivable secret of the body, such as space, which is not accomplished in any way.
