Being deeply immersed in it, 9 not harming other beings, but gradually practicing one's own vast virtuous deeds, therefore the upper body grows like a lion. 10 Giving medicine and so on, and practicing virtue correctly, therefore the body is filled without any gaps. 11 Giving fearlessness to others through pleasant and good speech, etc., therefore the shoulders are well-rounded and beautiful. 12 Being diligent in helping others, therefore the hands are soft to the touch, round in shape, without high or low, and beautiful. 13 Not rejecting beggars, extending the hand of generosity, therefore the arms are long, reaching the knees without bending. 14 Constantly and tirelessly practicing the ten virtuous deeds, therefore possessing a body radiant with a circle of light, completely free from impurities. 15 Giving medicine and so on to the sick, and praising the Buddha, therefore the neck is flawless in color and beautiful in shape like a conch shell. 16 Abandoning frivolous speech oneself and encouraging others to engage in virtue, therefore the cheeks are like the king of beasts, the lion. 17 Abandoning divisive speech with an equal mind towards sentient beings, therefore the teeth are forty in number, twenty each in the upper and lower rows, equal in number. 18 Guarding against discord and always using truthful words, therefore the teeth are extremely pure and well-aligned, with no gaps visible. 19 Giving pleasing wealth to others and living a pure life oneself, therefore the teeth are immaculate, equal in height, and also. 20 Guarding one's own three doors of body, speech, and mind, and respecting all other beings, therefore the fangs are supremely white and sharp. 21 Speaking only gentle and truthful words, therefore the tongue is long, the speech is boundless, and its meaning is inconceivable. 22 Giving care to the sick and delicious medicines, etc., therefore knowing the best of tastes. 23 Speaking gentle and pure words, enabling all sentient beings to understand the Dharma, therefore possessing a voice as melodious as the sound of the self-arisen Kalaviṅka bird and the voice of Brahma. 24 Looking at all sentient beings with loving eyes as if they were one's only child, therefore possessing beautiful eyes like blue lotuses. 25 Looking without anger or deception, therefore the eyelashes

Like the supreme image, it is smooth and not rough. 26 From praising the supreme individuals, he possesses the white, stainless ūrṇā hair that adorns the face. 27 From giving monasteries and respectfully bearing the lama on his head, the uṣṇīṣa is invisible, located straight in the center of the head. Although some texts say "located in the center," most say "the head has an uṣṇīṣa." This is not only a mark of having an uṣṇīṣa on the head, but also shows that it is superior to the marks of sentient beings, as it says: "The Buddha's mark abides in its place, and is superior because it is clear and complete." 28 From being diligent in seeking the Dharma and giving dwellings to others, the skin is pure and thin. 29 Because the Buddha, who is supreme among all sentient beings, previously gave pleasing clothes and bedding, the skin is like the color of gold. 30 From abandoning busyness and being diligent in seeking the Dharma, and from cultivating and increasing virtuous deeds, the hairs are fine and smooth, with one hair growing from each pore, curling upwards and to the right. 31 From being loving to all and abandoning beating and weapons, the hair is stainless and blue like precious lapis lazuli. 32 From giving monasteries and gardens and guiding others into samādhi, the body's circumference is like the circle of a fully grown nyagrodha tree. The incomparable Samantabhadra Buddha, the great ascetic, possesses the power of the son of non-attachment, and his body is firm. These thirty-two marks, which are inconceivable and radiate splendor, were spoken by the Teacher in the Sūtra Requested by the Jewel Daughter as the marks of the Buddha Amitābha. Although there are slight differences between this text and the Abhisamayālaṅkāra in the way the marks are identified, the meaning is the same. Here, when determining the number of the thirty-two marks, because the body is tall and upright, it shows the basis for the thirty-two qualities. Counting "feet well-placed with the mark of the wheel" as one, "wide feet and invisible ankles" as one, and "hairs fine and smooth, with one hair growing from each pore, curling upwards and to the right" as one, this is from the Sūtra Requested by the Jewel Daughter.
