I prostrate to the Bhagavan Manjushri. Your wisdom, like the clear and bright sun free from the clouds of the two obscurations, sees all things as they are, therefore you hold the scriptures at your heart. You cherish all beings trapped in the prison of samsara, shrouded in the darkness of ignorance and tormented by suffering, as if they were your only child, and your speech possesses sixty qualities. Like a dragon, you proclaim loudly, awakening beings from the sleep of afflictions, and freeing them from the iron chains of karma. You wield a sword that dispels the darkness of ignorance and cuts off all sprouts of suffering. You, who are primordially pure, have perfected the body of qualities, having reached the end of the ten bhumis, and are the foremost of the Buddha's children. Adorned with ten, ten, and twelve ornaments, I bow to Manjushri, who dispels the darkness of my mind. If one, with pure superior intention, recites one, seven, twenty-one, one hundred, one thousand, etc., times each day, then, in accordance with the order, one will purify obscurations, increase learning and retention, increase eloquence, obtain the dharani of non-forgetfulness, and possess the power of wisdom to defeat all opponents, and be endowed with immeasurable qualities such as strength. If one praises this three times each day, then, endowed with the qualities mentioned above, one will gradually traverse wisdom, compassion, the paths, and the bhumis, rising higher and higher, and quickly reach the city of omniscience, becoming a great guide who liberates all beings from samsara.
