, and when the five dharmas, such as the true characteristics of accomplishing the benefit of others, the meaning of the essence of the entity, etc., are fully established, the glorious Dharmakirti has made efforts to eliminate the three faults of non-pervasion, over-pervasion, and impossibility. The great master Pandita said: "Non-pervasion, over-pervasion, and impossibility are common faults of characteristics. All discriminations of sound and meaning do not exist other than these three." Therefore, just as the three discriminations of the expressive sound are not contradictory, it is crucial to understand that the three discriminations of the expressed meaning are also not contradictory. Thirdly, there are three aspects to ascertain the meaning of this: showing that the actual object of the sound does not exist as a real entity, how to apply terms by being confused about the groundlessness, and the reason for obtaining its own characteristics by applying terms to the groundlessness. Firstly, the actual object of the sound does not exist as a real entity, because all knowable things are summarized into four: the self-characteristic of the object, the self-characteristic of the consciousness, the general characteristic of the object, and the general characteristic of the sound. The first two are not actual objects, and the latter two do not exist as real entities. Secondly, although there is no external object in meaning, terms are applied by confusing it as an external object through conceptualization. Due to the power of beginningless habitual tendencies, conceptualization is inherently confused. From the sound of "vase," an appearance of the form of a vase arises, and although the form is not a vase, it is confused as a vase, so the term "this is a vase" is applied. If this key point is not grasped, then those who propound philosophical tenets, both internal and external, will have many ways of identifying the expressed object as mentioned earlier. However, the extremely subtle key point of the reasoning of the glorious Dharmakirti, father and son, also appears here. Thirdly, by applying terms to the confusion of appearing as a single imputation, one will obtain its own characteristics. At the time of terminology, one is also confused by appearing as a single imputation and applies terms. At the time of establishing names, one is also confused by appearing as a single imputation and engages in it, so one obtains any one of them, because there is nothing to be obtained from superimposition. This key point is also stated by Jamyang Lama: "It is impossible for two dharmas to be one, and because the entity is not established in the opposite, by expressing the opposite, the inverted reality is established." Therefore, if one has good fortune, one will not be confused about this.

It is meaningless. Third, regarding refuting arguments, such as refuting the five assertions that the general characteristic of things is the object of expression, etc., it will be understood in the context of the meaning of the treatise 'Treasury of Reasoning.' The actual object of expression and the means of expression do not exist in things. The object of expression and the means of expression to which one clings are self-characteristics. That is the case when explaining, but when entering, one mistakenly enters as one, thereby obtaining self-characteristics. This is the concluding verse. The way of understanding the object of expression and the means of expression has been explained. The way of understanding appearance and negation.
