Its own particularity is the real thing. It means the term "the real thing exists in reality." The term "from itself alone" means from the particularity itself. It is established because it is established as having a function. These quotations show that if it is a real thing, it is necessarily not a generality, and if it is a generality, it is necessarily not a real thing. The quotation about "if it is one substance, it necessarily arises and ceases simultaneously" is: Different, if it does not exist, it changes in simultaneous arising and ceasing. In its self-commentary, it says: Because there is no difference in nature, it will not, like its own nature, become various kinds of arising, dwelling, and ceasing, etc. In its commentary, Shakya-buddhi says: Because there is no difference between each other, when one is destroyed, all are destroyed simultaneously, and when one arises, all will arise. It means that because all kinds of things, that is, the collection of all real things, are simultaneously not different from nature, the so-called "distinction of arising" etc., will not become that when one arises, others do not arise, and when one exists, others cease, but will become simultaneous. The so-called "like its own nature" is, for example, not a temporary distinction, such as arising etc., meaning similar to this. Appearance also does not depend on others, it is a differentiator. In the commentary, the word "also" indicates the differences of arising, dwelling, ceasing, etc. In its commentary, Shakya-buddhi says: The word "also" indicates that the difference of arising etc. is also a differentiator. All of the above. Thus, the refutations through quotations are directed at those who, like the followers of Dharmakirti's system, believe that the general is a real thing. The refutations through reasoning, however, are common refutations of both them and the Samkhya school. Among them, when refuting the Samkhya school, it is sufficient to grasp the generality of the tree as the subject, and then refute it by examining whether the various parts of the tree and the substance are one or different. However, according to the Tibetans, the generality of the tree is not established as a real thing, but it is acknowledged that the generality of the tree and the real thing have a common basis. According to this concealment of words,

We take the commonality of all appearances as the tree dharma and refute it. Furthermore, if the commonality and the basis of things are the same, therefore, this similarity commonality is the characteristic of non-things. In the explanation of "therefore, the similarity commonality is the characteristic of non-things," Lha said: Because it is a commonality and not the nature of things, therefore it is similarity. This commonality is the characteristic of non-things. Things do not have similarity, therefore this is the conclusion. And, its meaning is that it is different from others. In the explanation of etc., Shakya Blo said: The object called commonality does not exist at all. Please consider whether this is contradictory. Second, one's own sect is that in the face of the conceptualization of holding a tree with three differences, the other-exclusion that appears as different from non-trees is the commonality. Even though it is not truly established in all the clear trees, it is established in the mind of the non-erroneous other-exclusion, therefore, if such a commonality is negated, then the difference is negated, and if the difference is established, then the commonality is established, therefore refutation and establishment are performed, because the scripture says: Due to confusion, it is perceived as one thing. Third, refuting the argument is that if refutation and establishment are performed on other-exclusion, then self-character will not be realized, because other-exclusion is not a thing, and self-character cannot be directly refuted and established. Reply: There is no fault, because the non-erroneous other-exclusion conceptualization confuses the meaning and exclusion as one, thereby performing refutation and establishment, therefore the self-character of the object of entry will be realized. Different commonalities are negated because there is no possibility of appearance. The Samkhyas of the snowy region, who claim that matter is one, are dispelled by the various rays of doctrine and reasoning, and want to exclude it, which is the view of the Sakya school. This is the concluding verse. The way of realizing the common and the particular has been explained. The tenets of each school are generally explained.
