Firstly, there are common and uncommon aspects. The first has the key points of body and mind. The first is to establish the seven aspects of Vairocana's posture. The seven aspects are: legs in the vajra posture, hands in the samadhi mudra placed four fingers below the navel, elbows straight without bending, arms extended like the wings of a garuda, neck bent like an iron hook with the chin pressing against the Adam's apple, spine straight like an arrow, eyes gazing at the space four fingers in front of the tip of the nose without moving the eyelids, without squinting or wavering, lips slightly closed with a small gap between the teeth, tongue touching the upper palate, and sitting on a comfortable cushion. As stated in the Vajramala Tantra: \"The practitioner sits on a comfortable cushion, the eyes fixed on the tip of the nose, keeping the distance where the nose is visible. Shoulders and arms are level, the tongue touches the palate, teeth and lips are relaxed. Release the breath, slightly relaxing the effort, the vajra posture is well established, thus endowed with the mudra.\" As it is said. And one should be free from three faults. As it is said: \"The posture of the four elements of the body is, comfort, spaciousness, and relaxation, these three.\" As it is. The necessity of arranging it in this way is, as stated in the Hevajra Tantra: \"Great wisdom resides in the body, completely abandon all thoughts, pervading all things, the body abides where it is not born from the body.\" As it is said. Jowo Dusum Khyenpa also said: \"If you look at the mountain over there, it is shown from the mountain over here. If you want emptiness, then establish appearance. If you want the mind to abide, then bind the body with yoga.\" And so on, infinitely. Therefore, when the body, as the basis, is bound by yoga, the dependent mind's thoughts do not move, the nine movements naturally cease. For example, just as when a lock is placed on the door of a house, the person who depends on it has nowhere to go. Thus, when the mind dissolves into non-thought, the co-emergent wisdom of insight will also be realized. To see it, the mind must abide. To make the mind abide, the body must be bound by yoga. Because the characteristic vehicle cannot establish the co-emergent wisdom in the continuum in one go, therefore one lifetime, one body, one" } ] ============================================================

One lingers for a long time without attaining Buddhahood. The *Samputa* says: "The rituals of eighty-four thousand aggregates of Dharma, because one does not know the reality of the body, all of them are without fruit." Also, according to the *Vinaya Sutra*: Among five hundred non-Buddhist hermits, a monkey who saw a Pratyekabuddha showed them the key points of the body, and they attained the five clairvoyances and also the legend of attaining Pratyekabodhi. Also, in many instructions: When the body is straight, the channels are straight. When the channels are straight, the winds are straight. When the channels and winds are concentrated at the key point, the mind is grasped. If one meditates with a crooked body, no matter how hard one tries, the mind cannot be grasped. The horse of discursive thoughts is wind. When the wind flows properly and is grasped, the mind is grasped. In general, the two views of the great Brahmin and Naropa are that the mind grasps the wind and the wind grasps the mind. The first is that when the mind is left uncorrected, all the scattered thoughts naturally subside, and that is the mind grasping the wind. The second is to visualize the lama on the crown of the head, pray for blessings so that samadhi arises in the continuum, and then dissolve it into oneself. Visualize that all the bad, impure air is exhaled from the nostrils with a "sang" sound, and that the wind drives away all diseases, evil spirits, and discursive thoughts. Then, hold the upper wind and leave the lower wind to exhale naturally. By focusing the attention in front and maintaining the natural state, the mind cannot help but be grasped. That is the wind grasping the mind. This is also the meaning of arranging dependent origination on the body so that realization arises in the mind. For details, see the twentieth Dharma discourse and the nineteenth object of focus. If it is abbreviated, these are not necessary. Furthermore, the necessity of properly arranging the key points of the body is: By sitting in the vajra posture, the downward-clearing wind enters the central channel, pacifying the affliction of jealousy and preventing obstacles from arising. By placing the hands in the mudra of equipoise four fingers below the navel, the water-absorbing wind enters the central channel, pacifying the affliction of hatred. By straightening the spine like an arrow and spreading the shoulders like the wings of a garuda, the earth wind enters the central channel, pacifying delusion. By slightly bending the neck towards the chest, the fire wind enters the central channel, pacifying desire. By not closing the eyes and looking down four fingers from the tip of the nose, and by pressing the tongue against the palate, the wind of the winds enters the central channel, pacifying pride.
