It is not in accordance with the path, but slightly seeing the nature of mind is the path of seeing of the Shravakas. Even further than that, slightly seeing Mahamudra is the path of seeing of the noble Arhats. Seeing the Dharmata like the center of a completely pure sky is the path of seeing of the Bodhisattvas. Seeing all of Samsara and Nirvana as the non-dual nature of equality is the path of seeing of the perfectly complete Buddhas. As it is said: Form is emptiness. Emptiness is form. Emptiness is not other than form. From the perspective of Yogis, slightly seeing the nature of mind is the path of seeing of Yogis. Seeing the nature as free from elaboration is the path of seeing of intermediate Yogis. Seeing the nature of mind as free from the three - arising, ceasing, and abiding - and without interruption, is the path of seeing of superior Yogis. Then, what is the difference between this appearance for sentient beings, noble ones, Yogis, and Buddhas? In the time of sentient beings, it is the appearance of grasping at reality. For noble ones, it is the appearance of illusion. For Yogis, it is the appearance of experience. For Buddhas, it is the appearance of luminosity or union. The meaning of what was said is that Mahamudra is: the very nature of mind is the Tathagatagarbha, from which the Dharmas of Samsara and Nirvana arise from purity and impurity, which arise spontaneously from the beginning by relying on the basis. The Dharmata or characteristic of the luminous mind of the Tathagatagarbha is that its own nature is free from obscuration. It does not accumulate the continuum of real Dharmas such as moments, but is like the sky, pervading all times. It is not newly accumulated by effort, and the wisdom that is free from the duality of Dharmas, which are established as momentary and continuous realities, although not fixated on arising and ceasing, etc., is not completely without function, so the activity is also uninterrupted. This method is taught in the Tathagatagarbha Sutras and in the treatise of the Uttaratantra by the noble Maitreya as being inconceivable by the minds of ordinary beings. Co-emergent union refers to the luminous mind of the Tathagatagarbha and the adventitious defilements of true and false thoughts that rely on it also arise together.
