I bow down to the Bhagavan who has no enemy of anger and has become great compassion! This is a praise to both compassion and the bodhisattva who possesses it. The second is: Like the moon in the moving water of beings, seeing its movement and emptiness of nature. For example, when the water is very clear and not moved by the force of a strong wind, the image of the moon appears, and together with the basis of appearance, it appears as if it were the real moon. The wise know that the image of the moon and its object of focus, the water, are impermanent from moment to moment, and that the moon is empty of its own nature, which is a metaphor. That is again combined into the meaning of the metaphor: In the ocean of destructive views, the water of ignorance is vast, and within (42a) agitated by the wind of improper thought, the basis is beings, that is, sentient beings or individuals, who appear in front like the image of the moon due to the interdependent origination of previous karma. When those bodhisattvas who are dependent on great compassion see the beings who appear in front and are dependent on karma and affliction, they are constantly moving with suffering because they are impermanent from moment to moment, and when such a dharma is seen to be empty of its own nature, the suffering of movement is eliminated, or the cause of the nectar of dharma, all inverted thoughts are abandoned, and one desires to attain the only friend of all beings, the state of Buddhahood. Such a Bhagavan, who has become compassion, I bow down to him, thus combined. A branch of entering into the composition of treatises.
