Like an army. The faults of the mind obscure awareness, causing downfall. Faultless awareness is like this: Like a river free from mud, Like the realm of cremation, free from grasping and being grasped. On the path of immortality, like an army of clouds. When thick, its realm is emptiness, Like the emptiness of two skies being equal. Deluded mind, awareness is vast and expansive. If recognized, abandon the stains of the mind. If not recognized, beings are their own continuum. Few can distinguish the difference between the two. Therefore, like gold refined by fire, it is crucial to diligently grind it. The method is pure hearing, contemplation, and meditation. If so, it is the key to faultless practice. Some hearing is like whispers, deceived by faith. Most contemplation is the cause of generating doubt. Those attached to meditation are said to be the cause of animals. Therefore, the method of transforming hearing, contemplation, and meditation, into the path of enlightenment is crucial. So-called view is looking at the mind with the mind. If dwelling separately, it is a deluded mind. If realizing non-duality, it is awareness. In that state, without alteration, resting in its natural state is called meditation. If the meditator's mind has something to meditate on, if it arises, that too is a deluded mind. When the object of meditation and the meditator are without separation, when the meaning of no grasping and no existence is realized, then one knows the pure way of meditation. Action is also, in the joy of view and meditation, various activities of peace, attachment, and anger, if grasped separately, it is a deluded mind. In the state of no grasping of what is acted upon and the actor, if endowed with undistracted diligence, then one sees the supreme path of action. By the power of the merit of speaking in this way, may all followers not stray into wrong paths, may the view, meditation, and action of the path reach completion, may the result, the spontaneously arising three kayas, be realized. The supreme lords of the five families of the sphere, The sixth unified Vajradhara His kindness, Jigme Lingpa (འཇིགས་མེད་གླིང་། (1730-1798), located in present-day Tibet Autonomous Region), plays in the lotus of the heart, kya! The nectar of the oral instructions, The joy of pure view and meditation in one taste. Therefore, may its meaning be known. However, in response to your earnestness, I speak these words free from conceptualization. The difficulty of obtaining leisure and endowments, and their easy destruction, the unfailing nature of the ripening of virtue and vice, the suffering of samsara and regarding it as happiness, all those thoughts are the customs of the inner path. Refuge, mind, etc.

The seven limbs, and the Vajrasattva mandala of the Lama, the path of yoga meditation and so on. All phenomena of samsara and nirvana are empty in essence, clear as their own nature, and radiant with skillful manifestations. Whatever is selfless, free from the four extremes, is considered the view, so the wise say. Cutting off the continuum of conceptual thoughts of the three times, not meditating on anything, without distraction, abiding without fabrication, this is the tradition of the great meditators of the past. All behaviors, such as pacifying attachment and anger, taking meditation into the path, is considered conduct, many think so. Nowadays, the four, view, meditation, conduct, and result, are determined by understanding, but the experience is very rare. Therefore, the point of not being distracted and not meditating, it is crucial to practice. When practicing in this way, the first is called the memory of entering, which is held by remembering the way of abiding. After that, that pure memory, abide without distraction. Again, it is called the arising of memory meditation, there is little meditation other than memory. In the end, both memory and distraction, without gain or loss, are equal. Why is that? Because there is no more excellent meditation than memory, and when distracted, there is no difference from the essence of the time of memory, like the sunrise in the sky, the storm, and the clouds, the rainbow, whatever phenomenon, all essence is equal. By familiarizing yourself with this method to the end, you will surely have the true meaning of view and meditation. Vajradhara who realizes the true meaning, may the blessings of the Lama, in the present and future, at all times and places, may all be auspicious!
