For their mindstreams, to be upright without any crookedness or deception, that is, to rely on their tradition. That is what it says. The ceremony for taking the vow of bodhicitta is to be understood as arranged separately. Furthermore, in order to take the precepts of generating bodhicitta, not just once, but constantly and continuously, three times during the day and three times at night, one must strive to generate both the aspiring and the engaging minds of bodhicitta. After teaching this, it is also said that because all blessings and glories arise from the peak of one's own faith and desire. Therefore, the first request obtains the aspiring bodhicitta, and similarly, the second obtains the engaging bodhicitta, and the third makes both firm, which is the view of Ocean Cloud, who himself said that it is unsurpassed. That is what it says. Furthermore, previously, let alone generating the mind for the benefit of others, even generating the mind for one's own benefit had never been dreamed of even in a dream. Now, the merit of this profound method of placing the mind in the exalted position of a wish-fulfilling jewel is that even praising oneself for obtaining a human body is not worth that much, but the merit and fruit of generating supreme bodhicitta are immeasurable. That is what it says. Furthermore, just as a lame prince, whoever is greatest in the king's lineage, like the position of a monk who is particularly wealthy with the manifest glory of maternal relatives and paternal lineage. From this day on, having become the son of all victors, therefore, having received the diadem of the name Bodhisattva on his head, he rejoiced greatly. That is what it says. Furthermore, like this, the lord of the gods who has made the three realms of existence, below the earth, on the earth, and above the earth, and the king of Maha Cina, etc., who has bestowed glory, and even those lamas Dalai Lamas who are deluded by him, and those called Wang and Tsang Kyon, etc., who are called "suspended," also rejoice. Compared to that, obtaining the position or rank of an inconceivable noble Bodhisattva is only for today. Therefore, for taking the precepts of generating supreme bodhicitta, which has immeasurable merits and benefits like this, one is as happy as a creeper of joy, as happy as a blood-drinker lying on the ground.

It is said that even the gods will be on your side when you rise up. Furthermore, the benefits of generating the supreme mind of enlightenment in this way are: like an inexhaustible treasure of nectar that destroys the Lord of Death; like a precious jewel that eliminates the poverty of beings in both worldly and spiritual ways; like a supreme medicine that cures four hundred and four diseases; and like a resting place for travelers who are weary from wandering through the high and low realms of existence for a long time. From this day forward, by the power of generating this supreme mind of enlightenment, may I become a benefactor who sustains all beings. In short, it is said in the Condensed Mother (Yum Bsdus) that generating the mind of enlightenment for a single moment without any object of focus is more virtuous than accumulating merit for oneself for as many eons as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River. This is the end of the eighth chapter from the Precious Key, a drop of water from the ocean of the Condensed Commentary that opens the lock of the treasury of precious qualities. Chapter Eight: Generating the Supreme Mind of Enlightenment.
