Root verse: Those who rely on the excellent boat of higher realms, for a while, are devoured by the terrifying tongue of the crocodile of the lower realms. However, since they have not reached the shore of liberation, they should rely on the helmsman of the four noble truths. This means that even if we obtain a basis like the great boat of a higher human body, which only experiences pleasant feelings, we have not escaped the ocean of samsara, which is close to being licked by the tongue of the cruel crocodile of the lower realms. Therefore, in order to reach the shore of liberation, we should rely on the helmsman of the four noble truths. As it is said, our teacher taught the four noble truths of suffering, origin, cessation, and path to the group of five excellent monks. He admonished the monks, 'Know suffering, abandon origin, realize cessation, and cultivate the path in your mindstream.' Again, he admonished the monks, 'Know suffering, know the unborn that should be known and cannot be unknown, and also know the three—origin, cessation, and path—in the same way.' Thus, he taught the four truths by repeating them three times." , "english_translation": "Root verse: Among them, what is to be known as suffering is that all six realms of beings, whether high or low, are included in suffering, change, and pervasive conditioning.

are enemies, merely the fault of women themselves, and also the five poisons that appear in the five sense doors, intertwined and difficult to separate, with no chance of liberation from the prison, thus increasing sorrow due to destitution. Root: Those who strive for manifest action while desiring happiness, oppressed by the power of ignorance, the cause and effect of suffering, relying on the power of sharp weapons, completely place themselves in a place of harm. Like moths to a flame, and the deception of sound, smell, taste, and touch, like wild animals, bees, fish, and elephants, are interdependent with the five objects of desire. This is to say that although wanting happiness, they diligently engage in non-virtue that is contrary to happiness, the mind of virtue is suppressed by the power of ignorance, and they are happy to practice non-virtue, which is the cause of suffering, and the corresponding result, for example, relying on the power of sharp weapons, completely placing oneself in a place of harm. Just as moths are burned by their attachment to the light of a lamp, wild animals are killed by hunters because of their attachment to the sound of a flute, bees die because of their attachment to the fragrance and nectar of flowers, fish die because of their greed for the meat bait on a hook, and elephants die because of their greed for the touch of a female elephant. Thus, even a single object of desire can take a life, what need is there to say if one is always connected to the five objects? Root: The realm of existence is like a fierce fire, the manifest action of anger is rough like a wild beast, faster than the punishment of barbarians and kings, suffering torments beings in a continuous succession. This is to say that samsara is the only basis and support for all suffering, therefore in the realm of worldly existence, merely encountering it will be burned, like a fierce fire. Similarly, in the presence of tigers, lions, bears, wild men, etc., and the punishment of kings, the sufferings of the six realms torment these beings in a continuous succession, so it is said to be fierce. Root: Friends who are beneficial to me or relatives and enemies who are not in harmony, all sentient beings cannot measure, standing on the side of enemies, friends, and neutrals, giving benefits and harms is inconceivable. This is to say that for friends and relatives who are beneficial to me in this present time, or enemies of hatred
