Just as the earth itself falls asleep and experiences the suffering of samsara, and just as awakening from sleep dispels illusory appearances, so too are these two: illusory appearances are like a deep sleep in which the senses are dulled, and liberation is like the state of awakening from that sleep. That is to say, the initially indeterminate, spontaneously present ground, and the ultimately liberating, primordially pure, utterly stainless state—these two can be designated as if they were the same substance, but it is important to understand the difference between whether or not they serve as the basis for subsequent delusion. Although the initially indeterminate, spontaneously present ground serves as the basis for delusion, the ultimately liberating, primordially pure state purifies all the obscurations on the path, and therefore the result does not revert to the cause. Similarly, there is a difference between the primordially pure state of liberation in the expanse and the initial ground of liberation, and the present awareness of the path, the primordially pure state. Although they are equal in that there is no bias in the way they are realized, the place of liberation itself is the purity in which the wind-mind and all its parts are completely purified, and both samsara and nirvana are pure. On the path, the two, wind and mind, are associated only with impure causes, and are accompanied by the defilements arising from mind and mental factors, which are flaws in the Dharma, and occasionally they actually remain in a state of non-conceptuality as a burden. Similarly, the radiance of awareness in the bardo of dharmata is such that, for the dharmata of awareness, the three kayas of the Victorious Ones, with their supports and supported, are complete from the beginning. And although it appears like the illusory body of a deity, as one is accustomed to conceptual thought in other tantras, or as one is accustomed to the deity's illusory body in the generation stage, in reality it appears as a sambhogakaya pure land, and there is a great difference between the deities being liberated upon recognizing their own nature and not being liberated. More importantly, those who have entered this path with vows have no obstruction to the sambhogakaya, which is encompassed by the appearances of the ten bhumis, and its example is that they can quickly and without obstruction go to the ten or five bhumis where that realization is manifested as a nirmanakaya pure land. Therefore, this is the supreme, unchanging vajra path. From the beginning (gDOD NAS), that is, the nature of awareness that is liberated from the beginning—primordial purity—is emptiness, devoid of inherent existence, beyond the realm of thought and speech, and cannot be reached by conceptual analysis, and is therefore called "abandonment." Now (DA gDOD g

There is no desire to obtain play, and the merits of wisdom are perfected. Since wisdom does not abide in the object to be known, it is free from the dharma of grasping wisdom as "I" and grasping "my wisdom" as duality. In this, there is neither meditation nor the object of meditation, and if one abides without alteration, it is naked wisdom, which means that one directly sees that it is free from obscurations. Since the nature of one's own state is free from extremes and does not change into anything else, the delusion of ignorance cannot lead it into samsara. The delusions of attachment to external objects and self are not made by an agent, but are produced by the increase of one's own mind's conceptual thoughts. Although all things arise from a groundless and rootless source, one realizes that they are complete without arising from the moment of arising. There is no need for any other realization than this. Reading, holding, meditating, writing treatises, and thinking about their meaning are all dharmas made by the mind. Once they are destroyed in a false sect, they are the Buddha himself without desire. In particular, the unsurpassed Tögal path, which is not taught in either the Mind Series or the Space Series, has few obstacles and detours because the radiance of awareness is directly seen. Because the gross impurities of the external elements, such as earth, stones, mountains, and rocks, have been exhausted, the appearance of the great elements is purified into the great light of wisdom, which is the supreme path. Therefore, even if the internal elements cannot be purified more than dust by practicing Trekchö, they can mature into the rainbow body, the great transference, the vajra body, and act for the benefit of other beings until samsara is empty. Therefore, the early translation school excels in all four aspects of view, meditation, conduct, and result, which are superior to speculation, and is the supreme essence of the oral instructions. Although this is the case, grasping at the self arises from accidental causes. Therefore, if this is not extinguished in the purity of the Dharmadhatu, the stream of conceptual thoughts that are deceived by accidental causes, that is, the influence of the various dharmas that arise like a flowing stream of conceptual thoughts arising from the six consciousnesses, will ultimately grasp the self-existent mind of one's own tradition as the self of no-self, and grasp the appearance of no-other as other.
