Therefore, the causes and conditions that lead to the arising of all phenomena, namely, the aspiration of the first statement of benefit and accomplishment, the second entering, and the third obtaining the stability of both. This is the supreme Dharma approved by Pandit Ocean Cloud. Such a precious Bodhisattva's training, not to mention obtaining it for the sake of others, I had never even dreamed of it for my own sake. By means of this extraordinary novelty of the precious mind, which is superior in its distinction, although I previously valued obtaining a human body, by taking the Bodhicitta training, existence has become invaluable. What could be more degraded than this? Once, a lame prince wandered through the great market, mingling with the ranks of beggars, and later, relying on the sight and hearing of others, he was found and immediately brought before the former king, who performed a bathing ceremony, washing him from head to toe, fumigating him with incense, and enthroning him on the king's throne. Similarly, the status of a monk, more noble than the family and lineage of the Xiangbo (cho ste, transliteration, uncertain specific meaning) is like becoming the son of all Buddhas from this day forward, obtaining the crown of the name of Bodhisattva, how rare and wonderful this is! Obtaining such an achievement is truly the most supreme attainment. Even having become the lord of the three realms, as well as the great lords of the gods, and the power of their own glory and wealth, like the king of heaven ruling the great earth according to the Dharma, if one delights in hanging the banners of delusion, then compared to those, obtaining the status of a noble Bodhisattva in an inconceivable way, if it is only today, the vine of joy will fall to the ground, like someone who has never begged before begins to beg, and the gods will also stand aside. Like an inexhaustible treasure of nectar that destroys the armies of the Lord of Death, and like a wish-fulfilling jewel that eliminates poverty, and like a supreme nectar medicine that pacifies diseases, because it is a resting place for weary guests who have traveled a long way on the path of samsara, therefore, from today on, I have become the supreme wealth of sustenance for all sentient beings. The end. A brief commentary on the eighth chapter of the Jewel Treasury of Qualities. Chapter Eight.
