Having made the four immeasurables as the cause, the fruit obtained is the precious Bodhicitta, and the peace brought about by the illusory path or method of the vehicle of aspiration and engagement Bodhicitta destroys the evil view of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers who abandon benefiting others. That is to say, sin is karma, caused by the causes and conditions produced by the ten non-virtues. Suffering is the result of karma, being involuntarily bound in the prison of samsara. Even these beings, in the moment of generating the supreme Bodhicitta, immediately rejoice in obtaining the title of the son of the Victorious One, and are respected by the lords of the world, including gods and humans. Non-virtuous karma and eighty-four thousand afflictions, like dense dark clouds, occasionally flash like lightning. For the virtue not seized by the Three Jewels, only the meager merit occasionally accustomed to, any virtue that does not possess the preliminary, main, and subsequent practices, is like a tree by the water, it damages the root of the fruit. Whatever kind of good crop is sown on good land, it will not be wasted, but will grow abundantly. Similarly, the tree of altruistic Bodhicitta, in this realm of existence, bears many good fruits and lasts until peace. Until the attainment of liberation and the state of omniscience, it will increase more and more. It is like a container of suffering that accumulates karma and afflictions. The ocean of samsara, the continuous waves of eighty-four thousand afflictions, are regarded by sentient beings as their dwelling place. The great courage to escape from it is to generate the supreme Bodhicitta. For those who have no thought for their own benefit, just as hunger craves food and thirst craves water, the pursuit of the state of omniscient Buddhahood solely for the benefit of sentient beings is called Bodhicitta. This is also the aspirational Bodhicitta, which vows to achieve the result, that is, I will benefit all sentient beings." } ] ============================================================

For the sake of all sentient beings, one vows to attain the fruit of perfect enlightenment. Its training is the equality of self and others, where both desire happiness and dislike suffering equally, and one becomes accustomed to this. The exchange involves giving all one's virtues to sentient beings and taking on their suffering. Cherishing others more than oneself means thinking that even if one has to remain in a place of suffering like the three lower realms, may the suffering of all sentient beings ripen upon oneself. These three are also a summary of the training, but their essence truly abides in the four immeasurables, such as loving-kindness. Taking vows on the cause is entering the supreme Bodhicitta. Its training is the six perfections, and it relies on those with completely pure conduct. In terms of classification, there are the two Bodhicittas of ordinary beings and noble ones, as well as the training of the three moralities, the training of Samadhi, and the training of wisdom. Thus, in relation to the three trainings, there are three Bodhicittas. In particular, in the paths of accumulation and preparation, there is the Bodhicitta of practice through aspiration. From the first Bhumi to the seventh, there is the Bodhicitta of pure intention. In the three pure Bhumis, there is the Bodhicitta of complete maturation, and in the Buddha Bhumi, there is the Bodhicitta of abandoning obscurations. These are the four. Similarly, there are the five Bodhicittas that follow the five paths of accumulation, preparation, seeing, meditation, and no more learning. The number corresponding to the six perfections is the six aspects of Bodhicitta. Divided by the boundaries of the Bhumis, there are twenty-two. The noble Maitreya says: "They are earth, gold, moon, fire, treasure and precious jewels, source, ocean, vajra, mountain, medicine, spiritual friend, wish-fulfilling jewel, sun, song, king, treasury and great road, vehicle, adorned water, musical instrument, river, and clouds. These are the twenty-two aspects." These and others are said to encompass and include aspiration with intention and practice. Whoever strives for their own benefit, in a gate that is constantly unceasing, not just occasionally, without causing disturbance to the mind of the beggar, but always satisfying them, that is praised as inexhaustible giving.
