If we examine closely in this way, we find that not even a particle of self-established nature exists. Even though it doesn't exist, appearances still occur. These appearances, if examined closely with ultimate reasoning, reveal that even the smallest particle of matter, which serves as the basis for the gross and the root for the subtle, does not exist. Therefore, they are empty like the sky. Because the characteristics of each dharma are completely severed and cannot be examined, various kinds of self-nature appear in a relaxed or pleasant state, without examination or analysis, just like illusory horses and cattle that appear even though they don't exist. What is the cause of these appearances that occur even though they don't exist? It is the habitual tendencies accumulated from beginningless time, and the interdependent arising from the nature of delusion. For example, just as elephants and other things appear in the eyes of someone who has consumed Dhatura. Therefore, these deluded appearances are empty of self-nature, without self of phenomena and without self of person. That is the reality or the way of being of these appearances. Therefore, the aspect of emptiness is called ultimate, and the aspect of appearance is designated as conventional. In this way, even at the moment of appearance, there is no establishment of arising, abiding, etc. Therefore, the nature or the way of being of that dharma is the state of appearance and emptiness being inseparable. Therefore, it is the nature of indivisible truth. Secondly, the inseparability of path, samsara, and nirvana: The nature of samsara, from the very beginning, is the nature of non-arising, the completely pure aspect of emptiness is the ultimate of the dharmadhatu, and the ultimate of clear light of wisdom shows the ultimate of wisdom and fruition. That is, in the self-arisen wisdom itself, there are five reverse distinctions, and based on that, the five kayas arise. Therefore, the ultimate of fruition and wisdom are gathered in the clear light. In this way, emptiness dharmadhatu and clear light wisdom are inseparable and indivisible. Therefore, the state of appearing as samsara is naturally abiding in nirvana. That is, in essence, samsara and nirvana are inseparable, and the two truths are indivisible. Even if the ultimate of dharmadhatu and the ultimate of clear light are inseparable, one might wonder how samsara, which is full of defilements, can become nirvana, which is without defilements. This is because, in the eyes of impure minds, the defilements gathered by suffering and afflictions appear as the dharma of samsara. However, if samsara were established as it appears, it could not become nirvana. But if we examine samsara with reasoning, we find that it is not established. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The nature of samsara, which is filled with afflictions, does not exist even slightly; it is primordially pure, the ultimate truth of the Dharmadhatu (Tibetan: དབྱིངས་, Sanskrit: ākāśa, Romanized Sanskrit: ākāśa, literal meaning: space). Because the basis (Tibetan: གཞི་) is different and the phenomena (Tibetan: རྣམ་པ་) are distinct, the Dharma (Tibetan: ཆོས་) does not exist in the true sense. Therefore, in the ultimate truth, there is no distinction between samsara and nirvana, showing the equality of existence and peace. Other than this, if one thinks that samsara and nirvana are different, it is a wrong view. This is because one is extremely ignorant of the suchness (Tibetan: དེ་ཁོ་ན་ཉིད) of things and has not understood the profound meaning of the definitive sutras (Tibetan: མདོ་སྡེ). If one does not understand in this way, even in the confused appearances of conventional reality (Tibetan: ཐ་སྙད), it is not right to equate virtue and vice, merits and faults, with empty words of 'samsara and nirvana are inseparable'. Because in the realm of delusion, all appearances exist with infallible cause and effect, one must know the subtle distinctions of what to accept and reject in virtue and vice without error. Third, the basis to be attained and the result are inseparable: At all times, the nature of reality (Tibetan: ཆོས་ཉིད) does not change, and it is true for the noble ones (Tibetan: འཕགས་པ་). The nature of ultimate truth is self-luminous clarity (Tibetan: རང་བཞིན་གྱི་འོད་གསལ་བ་), the essence of the Sugata (Tibetan: བདེ་བར་གཤེགས་པའི་སྙིང་པོ་, Sanskrit: tathāgatagarbha, Romanized Sanskrit: tathāgatagarbha, literal meaning: womb of the Thus-Gone), which exists primordially or is spontaneously accomplished without depending on causes and conditions. So, what are its characteristics? Its essence is emptiness (Tibetan: སྟོང་), and its nature is clarity (Tibetan: གསལ་བ). The wisdom (Tibetan: ཡེ་ཤེས་) that is free from ignorance (Tibetan: མ་ཤེས་པ་) is the self-illuminating nature of clarity and emptiness inseparable, free from objects (Tibetan: ཡུལ་). Therefore, clarity, emptiness, and awareness are the inseparable nature of reality. It does not depend on the causes and conditions of the path and pervades all of samsara and nirvana, so it is the spontaneously accomplished mandala (Tibetan: དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་, Sanskrit: maṇḍala, Romanized Sanskrit: maṇḍala, literal meaning: circle). Why is it a mandala? Because it is not created by the effort of causes and conditions, but is the essence of the unsurpassed bodhi (Tibetan: བྱང་ཆུབ་, Sanskrit: bodhi, Romanized Sanskrit: bodhi, literal meaning: awakening) that is primordially spontaneously perfect, possessing essence. To explain its state in detail: All obscuring stains do not exist primordially, so it is completely pure. Because the cause of the stains—the elaboration (Tibetan: སྤྲོས་པ་) of conceptual thought (Tibetan: རྣམ་པར་རྟོག་པ་)—is completely cut off, it is free from all extremes or biases, which is great liberation. The Dharmadhatu (Tibetan: དབྱིངས་) itself possesses the profound Dharmakaya (Tibetan: སྐུ་) and the wisdom of the cessation of conceptual thought, and the realization (Tibetan: རྟོགས་པ་) that is primordially inseparable, so it possesses great realization. Although it is inseparable from the five kayas (Tibetan: སྐུ་ལྔ་), like the natural color of Mansel (a gemstone) not appearing to ordinary beings when it does not encounter conditions, and it cannot be truly realized through thought and analysis, so it is profound. The self-luminous awareness-wisdom has not yet... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
