Recite many times. Bless the amulet to be worn by the child. Then, bless the offerings of the Torma with the six-syllable mantra and six mudras, making the desired objects inexhaustible and inexhaustible. This is the heart essence teaching that no one else can do. Compare with the scriptures. Subdue all the demons of the child through Takkiraja. Hūṃ! The fifteen great demons of the children and their retinues, take away infertility and the fetus in the womb, the groups of demons that cause harm and fear to the children, invite you to come and enjoy the Torma and substitute offerings. In the past, in front of the Lord of the World (referring to Avalokiteśvara), as a holder of the Sutra Mantra, I vowed not to kill children. Remember that vow, and in exchange for the ransom, please accept this Torma substitute offering. In the past, it was the teaching of Śākyamuni Buddha, in the middle it was the teaching of Vajrapāṇi Bodhisattva, and finally it was the teaching of Padmasambhava, and now it is the teaching of me, the yogi. Do not violate the teachings and vows, enjoy the substitute offerings, and do not harm this retinue. Through the blessing of mantras and mudras, the Torma substitute offerings possess all the desired enjoyments, increasing a hundredfold and a thousandfold compared to the real objects. Various precious birds, with beautiful feathers, skillful chirping, and pleasant voices, emit the light of various offerings, offered as substitute offerings for young children. The owner of the substitute offerings, please enjoy the substitute offerings, repay debts, and pacify grudges, pacify harm and cruelty, release captives, untie bonds, and do not haunt again in the future.’ Recite thus. Recite Saṃbhāra and the name, add the substitute offerings to the Torma, and recite an appropriate number of times. After reciting ‘Do not haunt again in the future,’ ‘Please enjoy the substitute offerings and return to your respective abodes. If you violate the teachings and vows, Vajradhara will be angry, cut off your heads, and suffer eternal torment due to the failure of the mantra. Therefore, return to your own abodes and do not harm this retinue again in the future. Gaccha phaṭ!’ Recite thus and send away the Torma. Expel with the mantra of four Hūṃs, visualize the protection wheel, and wear the amulet. The method of subduing small ghosts is explained in detail elsewhere. In short, perform any ritual such as the Yidam Phurba, place the Liṅga of the small ghost around Ekāṅracāṃ, visualize the wrathful deity in your heart emitting ten rays of light, subduing all the obstacles of the small ghost, and merging into the form. Vigorously perform the summoning and merging. Then, visualize that due to your recitation of the mantra, in the hearts of the oath-bound demons and small ghosts, the iron wheel of the sky rotates violently to the left and right, cutting the five aggregates and elements, making the sound of yala yala. Here, Oṃ Sarva Natri Ni Hūṃ Jaḥ! Su Tri Ni Hūṃ Jaḥ! Rṇri Tri Ni Hūṃ Jaḥ! Śan Tri Ni Hūṃ Jaḥ! Ka Tri Ni Hūṃ Jaḥ! To the hearts of all demons and minor spirits, Māraya Phat Phat, Nan Nan! Recite this mantra one hundred thousand times, then seal it. Finally, by offering a linga through burning or suppression, the lineage of minor spirits will be cut off. For children, tie a protective knot blessed with mantras, and continuously visualize it as a protective shield. Like this, there is no method more profound for raising children. This is the instruction of the Great Orgyen Padmasambhava, written by Mipham Jamyang Gyepai Dorje on the eleventh day of the red side of the Chutrum month in the Earth Dog year. May auspiciousness and goodness increase! Maṅgalaṃ!
