By dedicating the roots of virtue with oneness, it is meditation. By abiding closely with the thought of illusion, not fixating on the three spheres is wisdom. In the two of subduing harm, giving alms, and also dedicating to enlightenment in common with sentient beings, is the armor of generosity. At that time, patience is not fixating on the three spheres. At that time, diligence increases in the alms dedicated for the sake of sentient beings. At that time, dedicating to enlightenment based on the conventional, and contemplating the yoga without fixation based on the ultimate, not fixating on the three spheres is said to be the armor of wisdom. The other two are also the same. This is clearly stated in the sutra. The second is: Just as the six perfections are accomplished in generosity, so too, one should maintain the sixfold discipline. Similarly, apply it to the others as well. For these, in the Eight Thousand Verses, the remaining five are used for this, and giving alms, and also dedicating to enlightenment in common with sentient beings, is the generosity of all. Discipline, patience, and diligence are the same. With a single-pointed mind towards omniscience, dedicating the roots of virtue is meditation. With those five, not being arrogant and not fixating is explained as wisdom, and in the Eight Thousand Verses, all five are explained as dedicating to wisdom, and the others are like the Eight Thousand Verses. The generosity of these is to abide in oneself and place it in others. The second is: As previously explained, each of the generosity and so on, individually includes the six of generosity and so on, so if explained extensively, there are six sets of six, which are thirty-six armors, but if condensed, there are six aspects of armor accomplishment. The reason is that the six of generosity and so on are similar in Dharma nature. How are they similar? Some think that the six of generosity are generosity, and similarly, the six of wisdom are also the same. However, the six perfections that rely on generosity arise from generosity, and depend on that practice, so they are separated, because they arise from one cause, they are the same, so they are similar in Dharma nature, as explained in the Clear Words, and the others are also applied in the same way. The second chapter will be explained. In the second chapter, there are three. The first is: Under the armor accomplishment, the accomplishment of the practice of entering the second is explained. As previously shown, entering arises from the distribution of armor, which is the order of meaning. The connection of the sutra is Shariputra.

When the son of a wise one asked, "What is the difference between entering the Mahayana and ascending the Mahayana?" the answer was that the first five are explained as entering the Mahayana, and the remaining four are explained as ascending. The second point is that it should be known. Where does one enter? It is the practice of entering. Where does one ascend? It is ascending to the Mahayana. So what is the meaning of entering and ascending? These two are said to be synonyms in the Sutra of Sunlight, and in the Ornament of Realization, they are said to be entering and abiding, initially gaining and later becoming excellent. What is the place of entry, that Mahayana? It is the nine, such as dhyana and the formless realms. These can also be summarized into three: the mundane and the supramundane, and the path that distinguishes these two from the non-Mahayana. The first is dhyana and the formless realms. The second is divided into two: the path of self-benefit accomplishment is generosity, etc., and the path of seeing, etc., which in sequence are gaining qualities and abandoning obscurations. The path of other-benefit accomplishment is immeasurable love, etc., and wisdom without attachment to objects, which in sequence are delighting in the benefit of others and being skilled in accomplishing it. The third is that non-conceptualizing the three spheres, intentionally pursuing goals, and the six superknowledges are the distinctions of blessings. The result is turning the wheel of Dharma after attaining omniscience, as stated in the Small Commentary. Some argue that dhyana and the formless realms also transform into the nature of the path of seeing and the path of cultivation, so practicing them is not universally present in the world, and since the sutras say to cultivate the aspect of non-objectification, it is unreasonable to say that it is a mundane path. Although some refute this, saying it is a mundane path does not mean it must be so, but because this situation is more common in the mundane path. If it were not so, then the bodhisattva path would be pervaded by the transcendent path, because there is nothing that is not encompassed by non-objectification. Therefore, for those nine places, there are nine practices of entering, the first of which is that when a great bodhisattva practices the perfection of generosity with the samadhi of dhyana and the formless realms, they abide equally with the aspect, characteristics, and signs of space, and when they arise, they dedicate the root of virtue to complete enlightenment, this is the perfection of generosity of a great bodhisattva. The remaining five are also like this. Among them, the aspect of space, etc., refers to not taking aspects, characteristics, and signs as objects, but being the same as space.
