It is completely without fault. So it is said. In the Pratimoksha Sutra of Bodhisattvas, it says: Shariputra, if a Bodhisattva completely abandons the three Dharma robes and makes begging the main thing, then he is not practicing contentment. So it is said. Therefore, if the three Dharma robes are given, the Bodhisattva will fall into the fault of the ordained. From the point of view of need, what should not be given is: when begging for the sake of harming oneself or others, giving poison, weapons, fire, and alcohol; and when begging for things that accumulate the cause of falling into the lower realms, things that are joyful and playful with forbidden things, giving those things; and when learning or begging for nets and traps, etc., for the sake of harming sentient beings, teaching and giving those things, etc. This shows that it is also not permissible to teach those (harmful) secrets for the sake of harming the body, life, and enjoyment of sentient beings. Furthermore, when begging for land and water in order to harm sentient beings living in dry or wet places, giving those things; and when begging for the kingdom in order to harm that or other residents, giving those things; and when unfriendly people beg, giving their enemies, etc. The way to give external objects is: on that basis, the time that the Blessed One has not forbidden, and the thing that should be given to that person, giving that is not inappropriate, and if it is in accordance with that, it should be given. The basis is also the opposite of what was said before, and if one is stingy with the scriptures, even if the work of the scriptures has not been completed, one should give to the beggar who wants to learn. That is, if there is a second scripture, one should give that, and if not, one should give the cost of copying the scripture. If that is also not available, one should think: Even if I become mute in this life by giving this, it is better, I cannot accept stinginess, I must give. The objects are also, except for those mentioned before, and when acting as king, one cannot separate other people's children and wives, etc., from their masters and give them away, but one can give villages, etc., together to the beggar. Similarly, for things of entertainment that will not become the cause of falling into the lower realms, and nets, etc., that will not harm others; if it does not harm sentient beings, then the dry and wet land and life where sentient beings live

One should give food and drink without attachment when begging. If begging for the benefit of oneself or others, even poison, weapons, fire, and alcohol may be given. Thus, when giving material things, whether the beggar is poor or rich
