The Condensed Essence of the Completion Stage of the Six Yogas - Composed by Gyaltenpa according to the words of Je. The Condensed Essence of the Completion Stage of the Six Yogas - Composed by Gyaltenpa according to the words of Je. The Condensed Essence of the Completion Stage of the Six Yogas - Composed by Gyaltenpa according to the words of Je. Completed. Namo Guru Bhyaḥ: The realm of material things, such as the finest dust, is exhausted, and from the great mudra, which is empty in all aspects, the great unchanging bliss arises, like the bow of Indra in the Prāpa sky. To the Lama Kalachakra, who appears in the Sambhogakaya adorned with marks and signs, I respectfully prostrate at the lotus feet, and the essence of the tantras, which are widely spoken, the supreme path for fortunate beings to traverse, the essential points of the extraordinary six-limbed instructions, and the precious unprecedented excellent explanations, I ask according to the words of the great Vajradhara Lama. The history of the close lineage of the holy Lama of the Six Yogas is as follows: The Lord of Yoga, Unsurpassed Tso; his son of a merchant, Pal Dzin; he, the Pandit Odje Lha; he, the Omniscient Chokyi Jungne Zhiwa; he, the Siddha Nyima Pal Yeshe; he, Rinchen Tso; he, Bibhuti Tsanda. Alternatively, Chojung Zhiwa to the Pandit Drakpai Lha; he, the Pandit Choe Bhang; he, Bibhuti; although he had already given it to many, he gave it to Lama Kobrakpa, Yung Phukpa, and Nyepo Choden. Also, it is said that Shavari Wangchuk himself came to Bibhuti and gave it. Golungpa Zhonnu Pal requested it from those three Lamas. He, the great translator Tharpawa; he, Bu Rinpoche; he, Lama Dechenpa Chokyi Palwa; to Khyunpo Lhasepa, the two of them. To those two, the Omniscient Shar Tsongkhapa Chenpo. He gave it to me, and as the words of that Je appeared as the nectar of blessings: After maturing the continuum with the generation stage, on the method of meditating on the completion stage, it is explained that supreme accomplishment is not achieved due to being separated from the six limbs. The name classifications of this completion stage, it is unreasonable to desire individual objects of meditation, and among the four, such as how to meditate, in the first meaning of the later collection, in the six limbs of recitation: After practicing, one will accomplish the supreme, others, etc.

If one practices in this way, excellence will not be achieved. Therefore, if the six branches are lacking, excellence will not be achieved, so the six branches must be complete. Then, is it necessary to have the same number as described in this tantra? If, like the six branches such as gathering, one directly performs the function of subduing the central channel, etc., then the meaning will be accomplished. Therefore, it is not necessary to completely follow the terminology of the six branches. Furthermore, even if the names of the six branches are the same, it is not necessary to explain them all as the same meaning. Just as the four recitations and practices of the two stages have the same names but different meanings, the six branches, like the Lamp Illuminating, are explained by Naropa as the meaning of the later tantras, while the six branches here are explained like the Brief Explanation of Empowerment. Second, the yoga of six branches, the four recitations and practices, the three vajras, and the completion stage of the four mudras, thus the classification of names is spoken. Regarding the four mudras, the karma mudra, the wisdom mudra, and the great mudra are well known. The dharma mudra mentioned in the Yoga Tantra is here the wisdom mudra or the fourth mudra, which is the samaya mudra. This is called the indestructible mudra, and it is easier to translate it as immutable. The samaya mudra is the immutable great bliss, which is what is to be accomplished, while the previous three mudras are the means to accomplish it. Among them, those with superior faculties rely on the great mudra, those with intermediate faculties rely on the wisdom mudra, and those with inferior faculties rely on the karma mudra to accomplish it. This method is no different from the completion stage of the three cycles of Mind Commentary. Third, some people think that gathering and intention are for superior faculties, intermediate faculties practice the two life forces, and inferior faculties practice mindfulness and samadhi, which is unreasonable. Because the commentary says that in any branch, one must have the six branches to be a condition for a person. Fourth, the former Tibetan lamas divided the preliminaries into six independent dharmas, the main practice into six differentiated dharmas, and the subsequent practice into six protective vows, for a total of eighteen dharmas. The initial meaning is the three that do not depend on body, speech, and mind, the bliss that does not depend on transference of consciousness, plus the two that do not depend on body and senses, making a total of six. At that time, it was said to practice the six independent dharmas, therefore, the first four branches must be practiced as close practice. This method is a common preliminary for both stages, not just for the completion stage.
