Then, how can one know that this is the way to enter (innate wisdom)? Although the life force exertion is also discussed in the Kriya and Charya Tantras, as mentioned before, it cannot gather the two winds into the central channel. From the life force exertion meditation taught in the Anuttarayoga Tantra, and the two winds of the left and right channels, blocking these two from running in the left and right channels, and introducing them into the central channel, the Kalachakra chapter elaborates on this. Although the meaning of life and exertion is not explained in this way in the Lamp Illuminating, etc., practicing life force exertion can also do those things. Therefore, the Subsequent Tantra says: "Meditating on the subtle point of the tip of the secret nose is called life force exertion." When explaining its meaning, the Oral Instructions say: "With a courageous heart, the bindu also, descends from the lotus of the heart, abides in the center of one's own vajra jewel, the form of the five elements is supreme, the nature of the five wisdoms, the five rays of light blaze, contemplate the subtle sign of one's own deity." After saying this, summarizing its meaning, it says: "It is the limb of stopping the breath, emptiness." It means to prevent the intake and release of breath in the nostrils, and to make it empty with this, which shows that the limb of life force exertion and the limb of stopping the breath have the same meaning. Vajra of the Thus Gone One also said: Making the life wind of the nature of the five elements flow downwards, in the manner of condensing the bodhicitta bindu of the size of a mustard seed, descending to the tip of the vajra nose, contemplate with the above-mentioned individual gathering, and the order of the five-limbed meditation. This is also the union of bindus, in order to prevent the breath from going out, therefore it is called life force exertion in the Subsequent Guhyasamaja Tantra. This is also just an approximate example, whether it is the union of the subtle ali kali in the navel, or the meditation of bindus etc. in the heart etc., it is called life force exertion because it is to prevent the breath from going out. In particular, through the power of this kind of meditation, blocking the movement of the left and right channels, the exertion of the life wind runs extremely in the central channel, this is also called life force exertion. It says that by meditating on the subtle point of the lower gate, one can prevent the breath from flowing from the left and right channels to the nostrils.

By blocking the breath and inserting it into the central channel, it is said in the Subsequent Tantra that this is life force exertion. This is just a slight indication, that is, even by focusing on bindus and letters in the navel chakra and heart center, etc., it can also function as the life force exertion that performs that action. This is explained very clearly. It should be understood that all the statements about practicing the completion stage by placing letters, etc., in the places where the chakras are located are also like this. The statement about meditating with individual thoughts means that since these two are considered as the generation stage, it is the meaning of meditating with the generation stage. Yeshe This is also explained in the same way in an Indian text on the six yogas of the Yeshe Zhap tradition. In the Jewel Garland, an eight-petaled chakra inside a jewel is mentioned, which is explained in the Ear of Whispered Instructions. In the Empowerment Summary, the statement "Jewel Water Lily" also refers to this, so by meditating on the subtle there, one can gather the winds into the central channel. In the Garland, it says, "Looking at the place inside the jewel." The statement that women are transformed into lotuses is similar to this, so one should also understand that basis. In the tradition of the noble ones, one first meditates on the subtle in the jewel and makes it stable, and then it is said that one meditates on the mandala inside the expanded lotus of the consort. Therefore, except for those types that easily gather wind, even if one meditates steadily on the subtle mandala of the generation stage, it is difficult for the two winds to dissolve into the central channel. Therefore, in most cases, from stabilizing the subtle mandala to entering the isolation of the body, one meditates on a bindu or a subtle symbol in the jewel, and after inserting the two winds into the central channel, one should meditate on the actual bliss-emptiness union of the isolation of the body, etc. In the Subsequent Tantra, the life force exertion of meditating on bindus in the heart center and lower gate is explained. The meaning of what is explained in the Oral Instructions as a branch of breath control is clearly explained by two Indian texts. In particular, It is explained that all the practices of meditating on letters and bindus, etc., in the places of the chakras become methods for gathering the winds into the central channel. Therefore, expanding the life force exertion to a very large extent is a wonderful and excellent explanation. If one does not understand this, the life force exertion will become narrow. Therefore, for many completion stages of unsurpassed yoga, one does not know that one needs to combine the life force exertion of the six yogas, and one does not know the key point of clarifying the chakras and placing letters, etc., and meditating. Then, the two stages of Guhyasamaja and the five stages of the Ghantapa tradition, etc.
