The ultimate self-blessing of oral instructions. The ultimate self-blessing of oral instructions. The ultimate self-blessing of oral instructions abides. To the feet of the venerable and holy ones who possess great compassion without object, I prostrate with reverence at all times. To the feet of the Bhagavan Manjushri, the essence that gathers all the wisdom of all the victors into one, and the great Vajradhara, the lord of the eight powers, the father and sons of the protector Nagarjuna, I go for refuge with great reverence. The order of the ultimate self-blessing of oral instructions has three parts: the meaning of the title, the meaning of the text, and the meaning of the conclusion. The first is: Sva (Tibetan, Devanagari, sva, self) means self. Adhiṣṭhāna (Tibetan, Devanagari, adhiṣṭhāna, blessing) means blessing. Krama (Tibetan, Devanagari, krama, order) means order. On this, Lakshmi says: "I am luminosity, because I am the nature of all things. From that, holding the illusory body in any place is blessing myself. Or again, I am the body of Vajradhara and so on. Blessing that very one is combining it with examples such as illusion." Thus it is explained. According to the former, "to myself" means "from myself," and blessing means that which is produced by it. According to the latter, "to myself" means combining the meaning of the example of illusion. In other tantras also, "self-blessing" is often mentioned, and although its meaning is manifold, here "self" is the body or form that is the basis for applying the term "I am." Blessing that is generating a deity's body like an illusion by mere wisdom. As the Conduct Summary says: "The oral instruction of self-blessing, by mere wisdom, the deity's body of the nature of mind will be completely perfected." Therefore, it is said. The second has four parts: the limb of engaging in composition, the actual instruction with limbs, pleasing the guru who shows it, and showing the difference between the vessel and the non-vessel of the oral instruction. The first has two parts: praising and vowing to compose. The first is: prostration is nectar, the basis of distinction. To whom? To the great Vajradhara Vajradhara. That also, as in the recitation "The lord of all Vajra-holders," all Vajra-holders are the five Tathagatas, and their lord is the sixth, Vajrasattva.

The first Lord. As it is said, the first protector is Vajrasattva. The second is, that it leads the remainder, that is, after prostrating, I shall explain. Thus it is connected. What is the order of self-blessing? With what intention? With love. In this order, only love is the root cause. Otherwise, having entered the order of mind-focus, there is no need to hold the body of the deity again. What is needed? To benefit sentient beings, to abandon the side of annihilation, and to possess the fruit of past aspirations. It is said that it is explained with love. That does not seem right. This is the intention of explaining this order, not the intention of rising into the illusory body. Since liberation cannot be obtained by mind-focus alone, the illusory body must also be cultivated for one's own benefit. The second has two parts: making the vessel of the oral instructions suitable, and explaining the oral instructions to it. The first has two parts: the student who possesses the characteristics pleases the lama, and after pleasing him, offerings are made and empowerment is requested. The first is: to please, as stated. Who is the Vajra Lama? By whom? By the student who possesses the characteristics. To possess the characteristics is to possess four distinctions. First, the distinction of having studied only the first stage is shown by the fact that one has followed the generation stage and received empowerment, that is, after receiving empowerment, one has followed the generation stage, that is, the meaning of having entered. The distinction of having heard many tantras is shown by knowing the meaning of the four classes of tantras, including the action tantras. This shows that the complete attainment of empowerment is given priority. The distinction of having studied the three solitudes is shown by holding the teachings of body, speech, and mind in complete solitude. That is, having obtained the oral instructions of the three, one holds their meaning. The distinction of having unwavering faith in the uncommon instructions of the two truths is shown by having special devotion to the two truths. The second is, immediately after that, that is, quickly, for the purpose of obtaining the key instructions of this stage. To the lama who has been pleased for a long time, a great feast offering is made. Without offering a sixteen-year-old girl, with this praise
