A Supplement to the Great Biography of Je Tsongkhapa, A Collection of Well-Spoken Biographies. A Supplement to the Great Biography of Je Tsongkhapa, A Collection of Well-Spoken Biographies. ༄༅། །Herein lies A Supplement to the Great Biography of Je Tsongkhapa, A Collection of Well-Spoken Biographies. Namo Guru Bhyaḥ (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思): Homage to the Gurus! The venerable and omniscient Je Rinpoche, whose name is difficult to pronounce, the glorious body of Lobsang Drakpa, was born in the land of eastern Tsongkha (present-day Huangzhong County, Qinghai Province). His parents were endowed with faith and the mind of enlightenment, and diligent in practicing the sacred Dharma. At the end of the Monkey year, the father dreamed that a monk came from the Five Peak Mountain in China, wearing a Dharma robe strung with many flowers, with a yellow silk hem resembling the leaves of the Thirty-Three Trees, carrying a book, and said, "I have come to borrow a place to stay from you." Then he entered a shrine on the roof of the house, so the father only recited the name, thinking it was an emanation of Manjushri. The mother also dreamed that in a field of flowers, she was sitting among a thousand women, and from the east came a white boy holding a vase, and from the west came a red girl holding a peacock feather fan (about the size of a plate) in her right hand, and a large mirror in her left hand. The two consulted, and the boy asked the girl, "Is this one okay? Is this one okay?" The girl criticized each of the others, and then pointed to the mother and asked, "Is this one okay?" The girl smiled and said, "Okay." The boy said, "Then you bathe her." So, she bathed her with songs and so on, washing away the impurities of her body, and she felt very comfortable. When she woke up, her body was light, her mind was happy, and many auspicious signs appeared, and she wondered what this portended. From that time on, neighbors and villagers dreamed that many monks had invited Jowo Rinpoche (Shakyamuni Buddha statue) from U-Tsang, and the sun, moon, and stars appeared at the same time, and even during the day there was a rain of flowers, the smell of incense, the sound of music in the sky, and the earth shook.
