The realms of dust particles, Having destroyed and built, transformed into dust, More than those, the realms of all the worlds, Filled with jewels, having given as alms, Whoever hears the light name of immeasurable light, And the excellent qualities of Sukhavati, Rejoicing and joining palms, This merit cannot even compare. Therefore, of that Thus-Gone-One, Having heard the qualities, generating joy and faith, In order to go to the supreme realm of Sukhavati, Generate intense aspiration. Whoever, of Sukhavati, That merit of hearing the name, All those great and supreme pure lands, Cannot even be a part or example. Thus it is said, Venerable Ananda, turn to the west, scatter flowers and join palms, in whatever direction the Blessed One, the Thus-Gone-One, the Foe-Destroyer, the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Amitabha, stainless and utterly pure, dwells, lives, resides, and teaches the Dharma, pay homage in that direction. His name is also proclaimed without obstruction in the ten directions, and in each direction, immeasurable Buddhas, Blessed Ones, without speech impediment and without speech obstruction, praise and extol him as many times as there are grains of sand in the Ganges River, proclaiming his good name. As such, there is much extensive explanation, so one should strive in this alone. Although the ritual in the Sutra is sometimes explicit and sometimes hidden, yet for the sake of the Victor's activities that rely on meaning, like the common conduct of vows in yoga, may the explanation benefit all sentient beings. This was composed by Rangjung Dorje at Pelden Tsering Jong (吉祥长寿洲), at the earnest request of Dokhampa Jigme Trinle Ozer. Ritual for Swiftly Going to Sukhavati, the Immeasurable Path.
