From the Longchen Nyingtik: The Treasure Vase of the Essence of Great Bliss, the Inner Practice of the Yumka Khadro. From the Longchen Nyingtik: The Treasure Vase of the Essence of Great Bliss, the Inner Practice of the Yumka Khadro. From the Longchen Nyingtik: The Treasure Vase of the Essence of Great Bliss, the Inner Practice of the Yumka Khadro resides. The great master Padmasambhava, having dominion over the Mother of Space, is the master of all Khadros. From the stamen of the lotus face, the goddess Swift and Courageous Tara arose. In the midst of the snowy mountains, she appears as a woman. Outwardly, she is Yangchen Gyalmo (Saraswati); inwardly, she is the noble Tara herself; secretly, she is Vajravarahi. Practice on the Mother of Space, and the Varahi of Meaning will show her face. Her activity, compassion, and power are such that hundreds of millions of Buddhas and supreme Bodhisattvas are served and honored, and she has vowed to liberate beings. With the swiftness of her glorious field of compassion, the Bhagavan Amitabha and the thousand Buddhas of the Fortunate Aeon praise and serve her, and the royal sons rely on her. The Tara Yogini, who has dominion over the earth and the perfections, is blessed by practicing in this way. Samaya. In this mandala of twenty-one deities, first meditate on the four immeasurables, and cherish the arrangement of interdependent origination for the benefit of others. The root of fame is bodhicitta. When one's own appearance changes, the appearance of others changes. In the core of the root practice, transform the abode of the wisdom being: on a lotus moon in the heart of the Khadro, the noble Swift and Courageous Mother, red, wrathful, smiling, with an attitude of attachment, both feet in horse stance, seated in vajra posture, the right hand in the supreme generosity mudra, the left hand showing the refuge-giving mudra symbolizing the Three Jewels, holding a right-turning conch shell and a lotus, with eyes darting swiftly like lightning, in the world with gods, may my fame be clear. Om Padmo Yogini Tare Tuttare Ture Bodhicitte Svaha (Tibetan: ༀ་པདྨོ་ཡོ་གི་ནི་ཏཱ་རེ་ཏུཏྟཱ་རེ་ཏུ་རེ་བོ་དྷི་ཙིཏྟཱ་སྭཱ་ཧཱཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ पद्मो योगिनि तारे तुत्तारे तुरे बोधिचित्ते स्वाहा, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ padmo yogini tāre tuttāre ture bodhicitte svāhā, Literal Chinese Meaning: Om, Lotus, Yogini, Tara, Swift Tara, Great Tara, Bodhicitta, Svaha). On the moon seat in the heart, the syllable Tam (ཏཱཾ) is placed, and from the surrounding mantra garland, rays of light radiate. Note: In between sessions, make offerings and confess with the Hundred Syllable Mantra. Recite the Swift and Courageous Mother a hundred times. Generate aspiration and dedicate the merit. At the end of the session, perform a tsokhor (feast gathering) for all. Conclude the activity by offering a fire puja to oneself. Like the sharpness and strength of a knife. Samaya.
