Jowo Je's profound intention is that the illusory mundane appearances, if examined with wisdom, are nowhere to be found. Not finding them is the ultimate truth, the naturally abiding Dharma-nature. How should this meaning be understood? However, if one does not see it anywhere and clings to the idea that it does not exist, or only recognizes it as non-existence, then please refute this with wisdom. Apart from that, ordinary beings do not have direct perception, but even if they measure it with the realization of noble ones, it is still a good motivation. Similarly, examining with faith, and those who are ignorant and have little learning, in order to lead them to emptiness, the way to cultivate with one's own awareness has both correct and incorrect aspects. Similarly, when taking the path of conceptual thought, the difference between what is to be known and the object of knowledge, whether or not they are involved, whether or not conceptual thought has its own nature, whether or not one has attained pliancy, etc., for the ignorant and beginners, since it is not the object of instruction, therefore, in one's own mind, the way of directly looking and purifying, only a part is established as the Dharmakaya. If there is any contradiction, it is better than the stainless light, because one can understand the Dharma in the local language, so why use the language of treatises? How should this meaning be understood? Before the aggregates, elements, sense bases, and eight consciousnesses are purified in the realm of reality, the nature of the mind is the same as the Dharma-nature. When seeing one's own nature, even if the treatise makers speak with the wisdom of individual discernment, when directly seeing one's own mind nature, and the continuity of tactile sensation and substance are contradictory, if examined, one falls into the realization of grasping emptiness, or abandons clarity and falls into the abyss of extreme views. Merely looking at emptiness after examination is also the Samkhya school of non-Buddhists, who believe that self-nature is the beauty and master of the other side, and that changes merge into it. If one says it is like an illusion, this statement also exists in non-Buddhists. Similarly, the Brahma who is free from elaboration, examined by conceptual thought, also thinks so. In short, who would trust the forgers of the Zhangzhung Bon religion, etc., which are similar to the Buddhist teachings? However, in this snowy land of Tibet, arrogant practitioners who are not satisfied with little learning and think they have attained realization, are far from the taste of mind-Dharma, and are not guided by virtuous friends, mistaking the appearance of interdependent gatherings and ignorance as meditation, and regarding any arising conceptual thoughts as the samadhi of stopping conceptual thoughts.

The very nature and the Dharmakaya, the two, are like cause and effect. The way they exist has been explained above by the Ornament's intention. However, in the stage of the path, that which is un-obscured and unspecified consciousness, in terms of the object is the base consciousness, and in terms of the aspect is one's own mind. The emptiness in which the three rounds of conceptualization have been abandoned, is the Dharmakaya, free from the stains of what is abandoned by seeing. There is no contradiction in assigning this name, just as in the time of mantra, the Buddha of the sutra path is said to be assigned as Buddha. The negation of conceptualization and the two obscurations are not completely contradictory, but are mutually opposed. For those who are beginners in karma, the obscuration of self-nature is ignorance. When familiarity becomes strength, conceptualization and non-conceptualization are of equal taste, and the wisdom of individual conceptualization, because of its specialness, abandons what is abandoned by seeing and what is abandoned by meditation, abandoning obscurations, it is merely a verbal designation of Dharmakaya. When the nature of reality is exhausted all at once, samsara and nirvana are like the palm and back of the hand. If there is not, then there must be truth. What is the use of measuring the Dharma words of a fool who establishes an imputation from somewhere? To those who see the truth and to the excellent scholars who are renowned, the six yogas of the Wheel of Time, and especially the three kayas of the Great Perfection, the ultimate result of the path appearance. It is profound and vast, and what is designated there is not known by ordinary people, and other than that, with small instructions, to the empty form that corrupts the senses, designating it as the supreme possessor of all aspects is a place of compassion, so keep them in the same category. Likewise, although the Conqueror has spoken of the basis of designation of self-emptiness and other-emptiness, relying on attachment to that side, disturbing the teachings is seen only as the conduct of the Great God. May the mind of enlightenment arise in the continuum of all beings, high and low, and may this slight remainder of the teachings not be wasted, may there be auspiciousness! If urged repeatedly, even a rock cliff will proclaim like a person, so that the teachings may increase, I dedicate this merit to the holder of the scriptures, Sarapa, for the sake of seeing the nature of reality. The Forty-fourth Chapter of the Collection of Sayings is complete.
