The meaning of determining the reality of things. If the basis of the name is mentioned, it is Dzogchen, or Vajrasattva, the great space. Because other things are empty of substance. What is obtained through lineage is the path of subsequent thought. Why is it the meaning of inconceivable? What is not manifested is provisional meaning, it is the cause of Sugata or Buddhahood. It is taught by the scripture of correct union. It is said thus: Those places that are inconceivable and not manifested are the Sugatas, that is, the Buddhas themselves. The basis of the name that is correctly represented is the correct Vajrasattva. This is clearly stated. This nature of Dzogchen, there is much talk but little realization. If there is permanence and annihilation, the view is deteriorated. In order to abandon the obscurations of the path, the aspect of awareness without mind is needed. If there is abandonment and acceptance, meditation is distracted. In the great, unchanging, perfectly accomplished, if artificial effort is made, that itself deteriorates. If there is mental judgment, primordial purity is destroyed. In the nature of the Sugata-essence, if repeated liberation is meditated, the original purity of trekchö is lost. If there are no four visions, tögal is destroyed. If the three kayas and self-perfection are not recognized, one is deceived by clinging to forms and appearances as real things. Like not recognizing the suchness of philosophical tenets. Speaking with bias is like the words of a madman. Mixing view and meditation deteriorates the wise. Spreading the Victorious One's teachings, dividing into sects and denouncing, is the most unpardonable sin. Because knowable things are endless, Dharma follows the mind, therefore, follow the inclination of the two truths. Therefore, know all tenets. Although there may be endless negation and affirmation, taming one's own mind is liberation from extremes. If one practices, relaxed liberation will occur. If habitual tendencies awaken, it is liberation in the ground. May all realize the suchness that is not stained by the mind of right and wrong. Chapter Fifty-Nine of the Collection of Sayings. Chapter Fifty-Nine of the Collection of Sayings. A talk that thoroughly distinguishes philosophical tenets, the antidote to sophistry. A talk that thoroughly distinguishes philosophical tenets, called the antidote to sophistry. Homage to the Lama. Padma
