Until the sun sets, protect the beings to be tamed in that land. When the sacred (456) Dharma declines, the relics will transform into jewels in the great ocean. For example, like a thousand-year-old ice turning into a hollow. The meaning of this is that when the teachings decline, the merits of the relics cannot be understood, so the relics transform into jewels in the great ocean to benefit ships. The second is the wish-fulfilling jewel that grants all desires when prayed to. The supreme Naga lords, transformed from relics, offered it to the Tathagatas, gods, and sages, thus becoming the merit of the world. Its value is equal to the entire Jambudvipa, so it will not fall into the hands of ordinary people. The characteristics of the Cintamani are: its color is like molten sky, with a slight yellowish luster, and it is beautifully adorned with seven peacock feather-like patterns. The largest is about the size of a goose egg, with varying numbers of edges. When held up to the sky, it blends with it, and when covering the eyes, it overwhelms even the light of day, allowing one to see all the stars as if it were night. As a sign of fulfilling desires, its essence is covered with layers of Kashmiri silk, and if the power of truth is spoken, it immediately turns upside down, which is its unique characteristic. The second part has four aspects: the cause for accomplishing a special support, the characteristics of the jewel of melting substance; the classification of non-melting jewels suitable for adornment; the analysis of the nature of the support, which is the fruit of what has been accomplished; and the explanation of the benefits of making offerings to it. The first part is: the explanation of the jewel of melting substance. In Indian dialect, it is called "Sōn," which is the first form of iron for a Chakravartin—gold. Although it has many subcategories, it is mainly divided into two categories. (457) Distinguished by color, it is divided into red and yellow. The most supreme is red gold. In Lake Manasarovar, the fruit of the Jambudvipa tree, mixed and eaten by the supreme Nagas with the seven precious substances, its essence is red gold. It is the naturally formed "Dza-kshi" of the gathering of interdependent origination. Washed by the waves, it accumulates on the banks of the Sindhu River (Indus River). It is also called the wing of the "fire-eater."
