It is not so. As long as one has not fully mastered the asceticism of the four distinct correct understandings, one cannot exhaust the ocean of scriptures that knows everything and speaks everything, merely because of the contradictions arising from being immersed in grammar, epistemology, and logic. Why? Because the realms of beings are limitless, so the Dharma that tames them is also limitless. For some, Dharma rains appear to fall from virtuous friends, Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and ordinary beings, while for others, they appear from lotuses, wish-fulfilling trees, the expanse of the sky, and so on. As it is said in the Glorious Magical Net Tantra: The wish-fulfilling tree and the wish-fulfilling jewel, as well as Suchness and all manifestations, these are not real substances, but are the dependent arising of one's own mind's merit. Wonderful manifestations and amazing Dharmas do not come from elsewhere, but arise from such a state through wisdom that relies on skillful means. Therefore, in the precious treasury of established tenets, those small-minded people who do not understand this classification and speak slanderously, saying that because it is not known in India, these tantras are not authentic tantras but were made up by Tibetans, thus slandering many authentic tantras and sutras, are only accumulating the cause for dwelling in the lower realms for a long time. Moreover, the tantras of India were also brought by great accomplished ones from places like Oddiyana, Shambhala, and Malaya. Not all tantras are kept in India; even if they were kept, you would not be able to see them all by going only once or twice. Just because the sutras and tantras are not included in the catalog of scriptures in a small temple, it does not mean that the others do not exist, so one should not slander the great guides of the past. In Tibet, there are many sutras and tantras that exist in India and do not exist in India. In the past, teachers such as Padmasambhava brought many tantra sets from the lands of the dakinis, such as Oddiyana, and translated them. Before the grandfather of Nyima Dorje (Sun Accomplishment) passed away, many of the sutras translated into Chinese, such as the Avatamsaka Sutra, the Nirvana Sutra, and the Vinaya Pitaka, were from the Chinese Pandit Heshang Mahayana...

It was translated by Vairotsana and Ba Sangshi Lotsawa from the O (Wylie: O) region. Therefore, the measure of Dharma and individuals cannot be grasped by anyone other than the Omniscient One. The Ratnakuta Sutra states: "Only Kashyapa or one like me is capable of measuring Dharma and individuals; others are not, for they will fall into wrong views." The Dharma, which is the authentic teaching, is the word of the Buddha. The emanation body should not be thought of as having existed in the past but not now, but rather as constantly appearing in accordance with faith. It is possible that he may clarify what was not previously taught in the sutras and tantras, so do not slander him. Whatever Dharma leads to the path of liberation and teaches the abandonment of samsara should all be regarded as the authoritative scriptures of the Buddha. The Uttaratantra states: "Whatever in the three realms speaks of abandoning afflictions and describes the qualities of peace is the word of the sage; anything else is inverted." Since the Buddha has entered into permanence, he performs deeds for the sake of beings to be tamed. Even the blessed words, the sounds of Dharma categories arising from mountains, trees, men, women, boys, girls, birds, and animals, are said to be teachings. Therefore, do not wrongly think that what existed in the past cannot exist now, for blessings can occur. Therefore, it is appropriate to hold as sacred and practice as a yidam whatever one trusts, but one should never slander others. Furthermore, if the things that occurred in the past were artificial, then what was the basis for their creation? In that case, the things that arise later would also become artificial, because they are not superior to the previous things, but only slightly different in words or in quantity. Therefore, many accomplished masters have arisen in these great tantras of the new and old schools, and the lineage of empowerment and blessings has been unbroken, so they are entirely authentic. Those masters have composed many commentaries and instructions, so they should be trusted. In India, there is only the name "Secret Mantra," and there is no distinction like "This is the new school" or "This is the old school." But in Tibet, they are known separately according to the order of translation. From the time of the translations by Vairotsana and other king-ministers of the early propagation period until the tantras translated by Pandit Smriti, they are considered the Nyingma, the translator Rin

从智贤(Chen Zangpo)之前翻译的续部被称为新派。这两者之间,理解的难易程度,以及衡量其深广程度似乎有大小之分。这是因为以前的译师们是佛的化身,能够自由翻译,所以显得深广。后来的译师们都是按照普通人的方式出现的学者,因此语句严谨,难以理解。这仅仅是按照梵文原本的词语顺序,而没有能够翻译出意义,所以才这样。

The tantras translated from before Chen Zangpo are known as the New Translations. The difference in ease of understanding and the magnitude of measuring the expanse between these two seems to be that the earlier translators were emanations of the Buddha, and thus were able to translate freely, and therefore appear more expansive. Later translators were scholars who appeared in the manner of ordinary people, and thus the words are strict and difficult to understand, because they only followed the order of the words in the Sanskrit text and were unable to translate the meaning, and that is how it came about.
