The chapter on classifying the general nature of secret mantras, the second chapter. The chapter on classifying the general nature of secret mantras, the second chapter. Secondly, regarding the establishment of the Vajrayana secret mantra, there are two aspects: showing the superiority over the characteristics, and explaining the secret mantra itself with special characteristics. The first part also has two aspects: specifically explaining the superiority, and recognizing it as the result. The first point is that it is superior in fifteen ways, as stated in the "Rali Inconceivable Tantra": The Hearers and other Lesser Vehicles do not have oral instructions. View, conduct, mind-holding, cause, path, and fruit grounds. Time, enjoyment, yoga, self-other benefit and necessity, fatigue, abandonment of extremes, ease, and the difference of accumulating merit. With fifteen kinds of differences, the Vidyadhara Vehicle is superior. Therefore, the view of characteristics is merely the abandonment of conceptual mind regarding emptiness and freedom from elaboration. From the beginning, it is not understood that the inseparability of the two truths is the nature of deities and mantras. Therefore, enlightenment is achieved without effort through mantras, so it is superior. As stated in the "Illusionary Path Stages": Ultimate and conventional are inseparable, in the great circle of equality. In terms of conduct, characteristics include acceptance and rejection, while in mantras, through the nature of purity, equality, and illusion, it is known that the outer and inner worlds, the three realms of the mandala, are manifestations. Therefore, it transcends acceptance and rejection, so it is superior. The method of holding the mind is also like this. In characteristics, through the practice of calm abiding and insight meditation, one becomes tired of the proliferation of mind-holding in the net of conceptual thoughts. In mantras, through the stage of generation with objects, proliferation gradually subsides. In the stage of completion without objects, wisdom manifests merely by controlling the key points of the channels and energies, so it is superior. In terms of cause, in characteristics, it is believed that the realization of ultimate truth in the result is preceded by the conventional generation and the generated. In mantras, the pure cause is the wisdom of one's own nature. By forcibly pointing it out and meditating on it, wisdom is seen in the present moment, so it is superior. In terms of the path, in characteristics, since the two accumulations alternate, even if one becomes tired of the asceticism of the five paths for eons, one cannot advance. In mantras, since self-born wisdom is taken as the key, one can advance quickly, so it is superior. In terms of the result, in characteristics, it takes a long

In the end, one aspires with intention. Mantra surpasses because it considers the spontaneous accomplishment as self-abiding right now. As for the ground, in terms of characteristics, it is considered to be eleven due to the distinctions of gradual abandonment and cultivation. In Mantra, as stated in the Guhyagarbha Tantra: "There are thirteen distinctions of the ground." Thus, in the nature of the expanse, those without lotus arising from the syllable 'na', and adding the Vajradhara, make thirteen. In the secret of the distinguished, it also surpasses because the nature of the ground is immeasurable. As for time, in terms of characteristics, it cannot be accomplished in countless eons, such as three incalculable eons. In Mantra, it surpasses because if one does not break vows and possesses supreme diligence, it can be accomplished in this lifetime. As for enjoyment, in terms of characteristics, one cultivates by viewing desirable qualities as faults. In Mantra, it surpasses because it is seized by skillful means, practicing the five meats and five nectars, and not relying on consorts, etc., without purity or impurity. As for yoga, in terms of characteristics, one meditates on emptiness, such as the unapprehendable equipoise like the sky, and learns the subsequent conceptualization like illusion. In Mantra, it surpasses because with the primordially pure equipoise and subsequent, direct wisdom is made the path. As for accomplishing the benefit and happiness of oneself and others, in terms of characteristics, only temporary minor benefits can be accomplished. In Mantra, it is capable of causing rain to quell famine, etc., manifesting the compassion of limitless activities in the field of those to be tamed, therefore, for the benefit of others, and the profound activities of the two stages, causing karma and habitual tendencies to be exhausted in an instant, and realization and samadhi increasing higher and higher, therefore, it also surpasses in accomplishing one's own benefit, etc. As for the view, in terms of characteristics, one only knows the limitations of the causal vehicle, merely conforming. In Mantra, it surpasses because it ascertains the meaning of the great secret of the resultant vehicle and is broad-minded. Abandoning the extreme of laziness means there is nothing difficult to do, because a great result is accomplished with little effort, surpassing characteristics, as explained in the Lamp for the Three Modes. As for the distinction of accumulating merit, in terms of characteristics, there are only the common generosity, etc., the six perfections, and even on that, it is harmed by subtle faults of opposing factors, therefore, it is delayed for a long time. In Mantra, because everything is known as the Buddha's field, one's own enjoyment also turns into accumulation, therefore, it is decisively superior, and because one knows the necessities as nectar, in terms of things,
