Among the great Dharma protectors generally known in the sacred land of India, this is the second (part) of the discourse on the biographies of the Six Ornaments and Two Supremes, etc. Among the great Dharma protectors generally known in the sacred land of India, this is the second (part) of the discourse on the biographies of the Six Ornaments and Two Supremes, etc. The second general meaning is how the Dharma took root in the sacred land of India: The great Dharma protectors who will be discussed are due to their causes, that the endless vehicles of cause and effect exist. In the past, present, and future, until the end, they have been maintaining and developing the Dharma. The certainty of this is that they explain the well-spoken words of the Buddha by teaching and practicing them, and by interpreting them in a way that is not mistaken, with the meaning of both taming and renunciation, and by the power of immeasurable activities of admonishing others. It is said: All dharmas are the two, the Buddha's words and treatises, the well-spoken words and their commentaries. By this power, the teachings of Shakya will remain long in this world. So it is said. When the Teacher well entrusted the Dharma to the great regent Kashyapa, he also protected the fourfold assembly. Ananda cleared the stains of his mind with seven reproaches, and when the first Buddhist council was held, all the worlds of gods and humans were happy. King Ajatashatru, also known as such, freely enjoyed the fruits of his previous merits. He was utterly respectful to the Teacher's teachings and disciples, and longed for the merit of the future. At that time, the great regent Kashyapa also entrusted the Dharma to Ananda, and then blessed his body to be indestructible on Kukkutapada Mountain, and then passed into nirvana. There, all beings were extremely saddened. Those monks and laypeople who had seen the face of the Teacher regretted, saying: When the Buddha was alive, we wandered about carelessly and did not attain any special achievements. Therefore, they diligently practiced samadhi and discipline. The noble disciples were also the same. The new monks who had not seen the face of the Teacher said: We are far from the opportunity to see the face of the Teacher, and the power of direct admonition is also weak. If we do not exert ourselves diligently,
