In agreement. The objects and subjects that appear as two, the conventional truth, what else is there? The non-dual knowledge is the ultimate truth. 437 This is the tenet of the Mind-Only school. How all things appear, all are conventional truths, established as the nature of illusion; the ultimate truth has no establishment, like the sky. 438 This is the view of the Svatantrika Madhyamaka. Thus, appearance itself is conventional, and emptiness is called ultimate, merely a designation of terms, free from any extreme of elaboration. 439 At the very moment of appearance, there is no birth, cessation, going, or coming. Even the conventional, which is considered to be dependently existent, is not accepted as its tenet. This is the characteristic of Nagarjuna, Aryadeva and Chandrakirti, the founders of the Prasangika school. 440 Here, for all the aspects of the lower, through debate and examination, the higher will not be mistaken. Each with their own desires and attachments, combined with dependence, 441 the characteristics of the established tenets fall under decline. Therefore, the wisdom that can well distinguish the nature of the real, the similar to the real, and the non-real, also arises dependent on hearing, and thereby destroys afflictions. 442 Without afflictions, demons cannot find an opportunity. Here, if one grasps anything, its natural way of abiding is the ultimate truth, which is unspeakable, unthinkable, and immovable. From the perspective of the mind, it is speakable, thinkable, and expressible, 443 establishing appearance as the conventional truth. After establishing, realizing the two truths, beyond the realizers and the realized, no one can directly perceive, it is invisible, without attainment and without non-attainment. 444 The arising of wisdom that necessarily agrees with emptiness is labeled as the name of realization. Whatever is dependent arising is the treasury of all phenomena. 445 The wisdom of contemplation is the key to correct entry. All phenomena of existence, samsara, and nirvana, from nowhere have they come, 446 nowhere have they gone, they do not abide, dependent arising abides in nature. The nature of phenomena itself, like birth and cessation, at the moment of appearance, appears as emptiness. 447 Not abiding in the extremes of elaboration, it is shown as the nature of Madhyamaka. Purity and impurity are temporary, in reality they do not exist, yet they appear as if they do not exist. 448 Taking by universal imputation, through realization and examination, four extremes arise: Existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation, abiding in the middle.

Nor is he a wise man. 449. Like a silkworm trapped in its own cocoon, he binds himself with the tenets of desire. Here, the Dharma posited by the mind is not arising, ceasing, abiding, or moving. 450. It is neither one nor different, neither permanent nor annihilated. All elaborations are completely pacified; to know its nature is, 441. the essence of wisdom born of thought. The objects of appearance—earth, water, fire, wind, and space; mountains, forests, and layered houses—452. all arise from accumulated causes. Samsara is interdependent origination. From ignorance comes action; likewise, relying on each other, the connection until old age and death 453. is internal interdependent origination. Nirvana is interdependent origination; the path is the interdependent origination of samsara. 454. The root of the twelvefold process is great ignorance, which is reversed by the wisdom of knowledge. The other factors, such as action, also 455. reverse the process, cutting off the root of existence. Thus, the person who sees the characteristics of interdependent origination knows suffering and abandons its origin. 456. He realizes cessation and sees the supreme path. Thus, having ascertained appearance as unborn through thought, the Dharma nature of knowing its own nature 457. is known as wisdom born of meditation. The sphere of perfectly pure space, the meaning of meditation and the taste are one. There, the five aggregates, such as form, 458. and all eight consciousnesses do not exist. If one mentally negates and says there is nothing, it is even more contradictory to wisdom itself. It is not utter nothingness or annihilation, 459. but the treasury of all bodies and wisdoms. In the self-nature of perfect purity, one truly sees the truth. Even the act of seeing is conventional truth, 460. the best of meditation is not moving from its own state. In its presence, the mind and all attention do not abide. If one fully knows such wisdom, 461. one will be liberated through skillful means. Without wisdom, one cannot be liberated from bondage through skillful means. Above, emptiness and compassion, 462. relying on the mindstream is the great accumulation path. From the path of joining down to the supreme Dharma, emptiness and compassion appear in both meditative equipoise and subsequent attainment. Having attained the path of seeing, the two 463. are united and inseparable. On the first ground, the Joyous One, one directly sees the truth of Dharma nature. Then
