Second, regarding meditation, there are two parts. The meaning of meditation is: when seeing the various signs of reciting mantras like 'Duwa' become stable, the mind does not scatter outwards, but focuses on one point. There are six methods: wisdom is the appearance of the image of emptiness; perception is holding onto the object of emptiness; contemplation is clearly distinguishing its meaning; joy is the mind's attachment to the image of emptiness; bliss is the mind of happiness that is together with the image of emptiness; single-pointedness is the mind not wavering or scattering, but stably abiding on the image of emptiness without arising conceptual thoughts. These are the limbs of meditation. As it is said: 'Through practicing the supreme and unchanging (various empty images), one can completely purify the central channel.' Third, regarding breath control, there are two parts. The meaning of breath control is: breath is wind, and control is cessation. The ten winds that flow from the right and left channels merge into the central channel and become one. The method is: through practicing various images of emptiness, making the mind not waver or scatter. After the ten winds merge into the central channel, the wind moves in and out of the bindus of the four chakras of the navel chakra, heart chakra, throat chakra, and forehead chakra, this is the limb of breath control. As it is said: 'The life breath should be injected into the bindu, the bindu four wheels rotate in sequence.' Fourth, regarding retention, there are two parts. The meaning of retention is: to constantly hold the life breath that has merged into the bindu of the central channel. The method is: through practicing the image of emptiness that can be retained, making the retaining mind merge into it. The breath and mind merge into the 'ཧཾ' (haṃ, seed syllable) bindu of the great bliss wheel at the crown chakra, this is the limb of retention. As it is said: 'By blocking the transference with the vajra (jewel), by the yogi of the narrow path.' Fifth, regarding recollection, there are two parts. The meaning of recollection is: just as one remembers food when hungry and water when thirsty, because the breath and mind merge into the great bliss bindu, (when the bodhicitta melts and merges into the wheel of time,) one remembers the mudra after the tummo fire burns in the navel chakra. The method is: through practicing the mind that embraces the image of emptiness, making it free from all conceptual thoughts. By the power of the breath and mind merging into the 'ཧཾ' (haṃ, seed syllable) bindu of the great bliss wheel, the light of the tummo fire in the navel chakra burns, the form of the body. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And one's own light fills the space, and a special warmth and comfort arise in the body, this is a limb of mindfulness. As it is said: <Form with signs, various empty forms> like a lotus, <Self-awareness without signs, like clear light> like a vajra, completely absorbed, upwards <realm> the Bodhicitta is made continuous. This is the sixth limb, Samadhi. The meaning of Samadhi is: the object of grasping appears as emptiness, the awareness of the grasping consciousness is clear emptiness, the feeling experienced is bliss emptiness, and the mind is focused single-pointedly on the indivisible union, this is Samadhi. The method is: by meditating with the three immovables, various discriminations naturally cease, and when the ten signs of the winds entering the central channel are seen to be complete, appearances such as green and black great bindus will occur. <Looking outwards> From then on, on the great bindu with various extremely tiny particles of light, patterns of black lines will appear. Within these lines, various gross images such as the six realms of beings will be seen. At that time, various indestructible beautiful sounds will be heard. Within the black lines of the bindu of the time channel, extremely tiny Nirmanakaya and Sambhogakaya forms will be seen. This is the clear light of various images, and it is also Mahamudra, and it is also the meaning of the fourth empowerment. When <seeing> these appearances, the yogi will generate the non-conceptual wisdom of the path of seeing. When the yogi's mind dissolves into this clear light form body and clear light Dharmakaya, and becomes indivisible, then the limb of Samadhi is perfected. As it is said: Embracing tightly the Mahamudra (form with signs, empty form) with (self-aware, signless compassion), bless the descent of the vajra. Twenty-one thousand, six hundred supremely unchangeable, in a single instant, O King! One transforms into Vajrasattva. IAST: Vajrasattva, Literal meaning: Diamond Being) Third, summarizing the essence: When practicing the six-limbed yoga, one must practice in sequence. Meditate with the three immovables. Furthermore, until the constellations have completely disappeared, practice the yoga of the night. Then, practice the yoga of the day. After seeing the ten signs complete, practice the yoga of the night, and also practice the yoga of the day during the day. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
