A Very Concise Confession Ritual: The Iron Hammer That Destroys Sins and Downfalls. A Very Concise Confession Ritual: The Iron Hammer That Destroys Sins and Downfalls. ༄༅། Homage to the Victorious Ones, their Sons, and Disciples. In order to confess the accumulation of sins and downfalls, a practitioner should write down the method of practice for the Thirty-Five Sugatas as explained in the Sutras. In a clean place, in front of the Three Supports, primarily the painted or sculpted images of the Thirty-Five Buddhas, arrange the preliminary offerings such as the two waters, and especially incense, lamps, and whatever food is available. Sit on a comfortable seat. By the power of the truth of the Rare and Sublime Ones, the blessings of the Victorious Ones with their Sons, the power of the Two Accumulations, and the purity of the Dharmadhatu, may the outer world and its contents be filled with the splendor of the Great Bliss Pure Land, transformed into a vast ocean of offering clouds, and fully enjoyed. Namo Ratna Trayaya. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) Om Namo Bhagavate Vajra Sara Pramardane Tathagataya Arhate Samyaksambuddhaya. Tadyatha. Om Vajra Vajra Maha Vajra Maha Tejo Vajra Maha Vidya Vajra Maha Bodhicitta Vajra Maha Bodhimanopasakramana Vajre Sarva Karma Avarana Vishodhana Vajra Svaha. (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) Thus, bless the place. In the space in front, in the presence of the Refuge Field vividly residing, I and all beings respectfully join our palms. To the Buddhas, Dharma, and Supreme Assembly, I go for refuge until enlightenment. By the merit of my giving and other virtuous deeds, may I attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all beings. Taking Refuge and Generating Bodhicitta. And, to all the Lions among Humans who have passed away in the three times in the ten directions of the world, I prostrate with body, speech, and mind, with reverence to all of them. By the power of the aspiration of the Excellent Conduct Prayer, may all the Victorious Ones appear vividly in my mind, and with bodies multiplied as many as there are atoms in the fields, I prostrate to all the Victorious Ones. Upon a single atom, there are Buddhas as many as there are atoms, residing in the midst of the Sons of the Buddhas. Thus, in all the realms of Dharma without exception, I visualize them all filled with the Victorious Ones. With inexhaustible oceans of praise, and with the branches of melodious sound, the sounds of all the oceans, I praise the qualities of all the Victorious Ones,

I praise all the Sugatas. With excellent flowers, excellent garlands, And with cymbals, excellent unguents, excellent umbrellas, Excellent lamps, and excellent incense, I make offerings to those Victors. With excellent clothing, excellent fragrances, Powder, heaps like Mount Meru, With all excellent arrangements that are especially superior, I make offerings to those Victors. Whatever offerings are unsurpassed and vast, Those are pleasing to all the Victors as well. With the power of faith in good conduct, I prostrate and make offerings to all the Victors. Through the power of desire, hatred, and ignorance, With body, speech, and likewise mind, Whatever sins I have committed, All of those I confess individually. All the Victors of the ten directions and the Buddha's children, The Pratyekabuddhas, those in training and those not in training, Whatever merit of all beings there may be, I rejoice in all of those. Those who are the lamps of the world in the ten directions, Who have attained enlightenment in stages, without attachment, To all those protectors, I urge them to turn the unsurpassed wheel. To those who desire to show passing into nirvana, For the sake of benefiting and bringing happiness to all beings, I beseech them to remain for as many eons as there are dust particles in the fields, With palms joined together. Prostrating, making offerings, confessing, Rejoicing, urging, and beseeching, Whatever slight virtue I have accumulated, I dedicate all of it for the sake of enlightenment. The seven-branch practice. The field of refuge dissolves into light, merging indivisibly into oneself, transforming into a body free from defilements and impurities. From (Tibetan seed syllable) བྷོ་ (Sanskrit Devanagari: भो, Sanskrit Romanization: bho, Literal Chinese meaning: to have) in the sky in front, appears an immeasurable palace, made of various jewels, clear and transparent, with four sides, four doors, and horse-stairs, in the center of which, on the pistil of a thirty-two petaled lotus, with sun and moon cushions, is the Bhagavan, Shakya King Buddha, golden in color, teaching the Dharma, with a precious umbrella adorned with all aspects on his head. On the right is Vajrapani, blue in color, and on the left is Manjushri, red and yellow, both waving whisks. Starting from the right side of the thirty-two petals, in order from the front, are (Tibetan seed syllable) ཊྛ (Sanskrit Devanagari: ट, Sanskrit Romanization: ṭa, Literal Chinese meaning: firm) thirty-five Sugatas, alternating in white, blue, yellow, red, and green, teaching the Dharma, subduing demons, bestowing supreme gifts, in meditative equipoise, and bestowing refuge, together with the main deity.
