and any abbreviated rituals, and finally offer the mandala as much as possible. Taking refuge and generating bodhicitta: I take refuge in the supreme Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha until enlightenment. By the merit of listening, thinking, and meditating, may I quickly attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all sentient beings. Recite this three times to firmly establish refuge and bodhicitta. Scatter flowers on the object of veneration and recite: O venerable and compassionate Bhagavati, and so on, may it increase and expand like the waxing moon! By reciting these words, pray for what is desired. Second, visualize oneself as Tara and recite the mantra to invoke the lineage: Om Svabhava Shuddha Sarva Dharma Svabhava Shuddho 'Ham. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཤུདྡྷ་སརྦ་དྷརྨ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཤུདྡྷོ་ཉཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ svabhāva śuddha sarva dharmāḥ svabhāva śuddho 'haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, nature pure, all dharmas, nature pure, I.) From the beginning, all dharmas are in the state of luminous emptiness. From Pam arises a lotus, and from Ah arises a moon disc. From Tam arises an utpala, marked by Tvam. Light radiates, accomplishing the two benefits, and then gathers back. Oneself becomes the venerable Tara, green in color, with a peaceful smile, sixteen years of age and beautiful. From the treasure of the supreme mudra of the right hand, she bestows supreme accomplishments on the practitioner. The left hand shows the refuge-granting mudra, representing the Three Jewels, giving breath to beings threatened by fear. Both hands hold the stem of a blue utpala flower, with the flower blooming near the ear. Adorned with various silks and precious ornaments, she plays with a posture of right leg extended and left leg bent. From the three syllables at the three places, light invites the wisdom deities, who merge with oneself, inseparable. Again, from the heart, rays of smiling light arise, inviting the initiation deities, who bestow initiation with nectar. The body is filled and purified, and Amitabha, the lord of the family, becomes the ornament on the crown of the head. Visualize clearly in this way. Offer with Om Arya Tare Saparivara Argham, etc. Praises with Gods and non-gods, the jewel of the crown, etc. Then, without straying from the path of viewing all phenomena of appearance, sound, and awareness as the play of the three secrets of the venerable mother, recite: Om Tare Tuttare Ture Svaha. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་ཏཱ་རེ་ཏུཏྟཱ་ཏ་རེ་ཏུ་རེ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ tāre tuttāre ture svāhā, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, Tara, Swift Tara, Heroic Tara, Svaha.) Recite as much as possible. Complete any omissions with the Hundred Syllable Mantra to stabilize the blessings. Third, visualize the venerable mother in front, offer the seven-limb practice and mandala, and pray for what is desired. Divided into three parts, the first part is: Visualize the object of veneration in front as the venerable Bhagavati, the Holy Tara, surrounded by the twenty-one Taras, visualizing it as real. Recite Gods and non-gods, the jewel of the crown, etc., seven times and prostrate.
