Therefore, Asura means devoid of essence. According to etymology, from the vowel change to "A," plus "na (na)," meaning "person." "A (ā)" is a prefix, "thi (thi)" changes to "gharba," adding a suffix, becomes "ākāra," meaning "form." "Madhu" is a prefix, "bā" means "to drink," adding "kvipra," becomes "madhupā," meaning "one who drinks honey," i.e., a bee. Similarly, from the root plus "kti," and the stem's "ā" changes to "ī," becomes "bīti," meaning "to drink." "Paci" means "to increase," plus "gharba," and "idita's" "mu," becomes "bhīulācaka," "padma" means "mud," from the mud "jana" means "to be born," the name also adds "ḍa," becomes "ḍa" suffix, combined with the former, finally adding "s," becomes "padmaja," meaning "born from mud," which is another name for lotus. The term "lotus feet" is added through semantic derivation. Thus, connecting the phrases formed before and after: avatā droha yagriva kamalā kara īśvaraḥ (benefit). surā suran rākār. madhupī pīta padmalaḥ. If the Tibetan verses are translated upside down, it is easier to understand their meaning: The forms of gods and non-gods, the lotus feet drunk by bees, the lord born from the lotus, please, Hayagriva, protect us. That is to say, who is approaching? It is the gods, non-gods, and humans, the forms of beings in these three realms are bees. What should be approached? It is the lotus feet of the deity. Approaching with a respectful crown and obtaining the desired achievements from it is like bees drinking honey. Where do these dharmas exist? They exist in the lotus-born place, which is full of the nectar of the qualities of Ishvara and others, filled with immeasurable, difficult to estimate, inexhaustible, and other characteristics, that is, the image of the great ocean. Therefore, I pray that such a supreme Hayagriva will protect me and others in the past, present, and future, and eliminate all obstacles. This is an auspicious wish expressed in an image-like manner. Just as the auspicious Daṇḍin said: Fingers are equal to petals, feet are equal to lotus, placing them appropriately where they should be, this is entirely an image-like description. For the desired object, praise is an auspicious wish. These perfectly conform to the above definitions. Here.

The term "Hayagriva" refers to the distinction between the descent and expulsion of deities, as claimed by the Tirthikas (non-Buddhists). However, the inner Buddhists consider it to be the wrathful king Hayagriva, which is the true meaning. This was said by the venerable master. Furthermore, here, it is unclear whether it was previously famous or not, and there is a lack of ability to newly explain it. Since there are also errors in words and meanings, it is not a place that pleases the wise. However, due to diligently grasping the oral instructions of the lama, like a brother of nectar, I have strived to explain one aspect for the sake of myself and similar dull-witted individuals. May the accumulation of merit arising from this, like the Kataka (a medicinal herb), clear the turbidity of the ocean of wisdom, and at the moment of grasping hundreds of images of knowledge, may the lotus of the all-knowing one bloom! Thus, this short note, which is slightly derived from the grammar of "mTsho ldan ma," is based on the repeated instructions of the master, the all-knowing Ze Chen Maha Pandita, the lord of a hundred lineages, at whose lotus feet I studied this path, that you should definitely compose such a work for the benefit of the assembly of new wisdom. Primarily relying on the oral instructions of Jamyang Lama himself as the foundation, and also relying on the commentary of Katyayana, the Root Commentary of the Compendium, the Una of Katyayana, and the commentary of the Abhidharmakosha, the Wish-fulfilling Cow, etc., as the lowest of all the disciples of that holy one, a wise person named Brahma's Son of Joy, or also called the Sun of Scriptures, initially wrote a little in the Padma Odling (Lotus Light Garden) in the forest of the Bodhi tree, the seat of the Lower Tantric College. Later, it was revised and presented in the hermitage of glorious E-wam Choden, the source of many qualities and jewels, the essence of the land of Utsang (gYas ru gTsang). All the errors in this are confessed before the eyes of the holy one who sees with wisdom. May this virtue cause all limitless beings, through the power of great faith in the supreme wisdom, to touch the light of discriminating awareness. May there always be auspiciousness! A collection of useful writings, nectar for the eyes of the discerning, a cluster of fresh lotuses.
