For Vajravarahi, placing a nectar skull cup on the crown of the head is the vase empowerment; bestowing samaya substances is the secret empowerment; directing the sindhura mandala and the mantra including the three syllables Om (藏文：ཨོཾ，梵文天城体：ॐ，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ，汉语字面意思：嗡) towards the navel, and performing the bindu empowerment; the fourth introduction is the final deity, red Varahi, skull garland, mirror, medicine-alcohol torma, butter lamp, and a skull cup filled with nectar pills. This is necessary for empowerment instructions and so on. For mere faith and practice, according to the scriptures, after offering the mandala, taking refuge and generating bodhicitta, receiving vows, descending and stabilizing wisdom vase empowerment, body, speech, and mind empowerments, connecting only the torma empowerment is sufficient. Like dispelling obstacles, it is also acceptable to bestow only the torma empowerment; it should be determined according to the circumstances.
