The Empowerment Ritual of the Nine Deities of Great Compassion, Lokeshvara: The Entrance that Pleases the Noble Ones. The Empowerment Ritual of the Nine Deities of Great Compassion, Lokeshvara: The Entrance that Pleases the Noble Ones. The Empowerment Ritual of the Nine Deities of Great Compassion, Lokeshvara, called "The Entrance that Pleases the Noble Ones," is hereby presented. Homage to the Guru Lokeshvara). The wisdom of impartial compassion is gathered into one. Lokeshvara, Lord of the World, all-pervading Guru, I prostrate and now pour forth the great river of ripening nectar, the Entrance that Pleases the Noble Ones. There are three parts to this: Assembling the mandala of the superior image; Accomplishing and offering to the mandala of superior samadhi; Elaborately dividing the ripening empowerment ritual. Firstly, if one has the means, the ritual of the ground, the deities, the vase, and the preparation of the disciples should precede the construction of the colored sand mandala. Together with accomplishment and offering, the method of fully bestowing the four empowerments is based on the mandala ritual "Wonderful Appearance" composed by the Vidyadhara Gyurme Dorje, and the "Oral Instructions of the Eight Commands of Vidyadharas," etc., cross-referenced and performed according to the practice of lineage-holding lamas. Here, the meaning of the root text is taken to mean that, according to the common practice nowadays, the ripening introduction and the main part of the empowerment are bestowed in a painted or appliqué mandala. On a platform, place a mandala thangka of this deity with all the characteristics, or an arrangement of appliqué equal to the number of deities on a mandala, with a vase filled with essence, mantras, vajra, and deity images on a throne in the center. To the east, place medicine offerings, torma, and rakta. To the south, the five families with banners. To the west, a vajra. To the north, a bell. To the southeast, a dharma staff. To the southwest, a wheel and conch shell for the feet. To the west, an empowerment throne with an umbrella. To the northwest, a scripture and stone bell. To the northeast, a container for secret substances, a skull cup of nectar. Finally, place flowers and water for demarcation as preliminary offerings. A protector torma. Nearby, prepare white and red preliminary tormas as convenient. Gathering implements. A mandala, blindfolds, flowers, etc. In front of the master, place the action vase. Inner offering. Vajra and bell. Damaru. Containers for flowers, etc. Also, whatever else is needed.

All items should be fully prepared. Second, from the lineage supplication and refuge and bodhicitta, until the end of the tsok, perform the activity ritual according to the way of the Noble Delight. Third, there are two parts: the master entering himself, and guiding the disciples to enter and giving empowerment. First, to fully receive the empowerments given to the disciples in the manner of self-entry, or if unable, to enter and receive permission only by means of throwing the wisdom flower. Facing the mandala and scattering flowers, recite: Om Vajra Samaya Om Ha, Vajra Commitment, Ha). By offering the flowers, contemplate that your own body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities and those of the mandala deity become inseparable. Contemplate that the mandala to be entered and your own body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities, the five result dharmas, are indivisible and of one taste. Om. Wisdom king, body, speech, and mind, Qualities and activities, wondrously great, In that very state, equally joined, May I be joined to the Great Seal! Om, Vajra Commitment, Ho). Invoke and dissolve the siddhis. Pay homage to the mandala deity with folded hands, reciting: Om. For the sake of attaining vajra wisdom, Of all the Tathagatas, The great mandala of the essence, I beseech you to lead my disciples in. By making this request, contemplate that permission is granted. Second, there are two parts: entering the mandala and manifestly bestowing empowerment in the entered mandala. First, to symbolize that the symbolic mandala has not been seen before, it is obscured by the mandala curtain. Then, as the disciples enter the door of the room, they are washed with the water of the activity vase by the activity vajra. Burn gugul incense and combine the sound of music. The master recites: At the end of 'How was he born,' etc., Om Sarva Tathagata Abhisheka Te Samaya Shriye Hum Om, all Tathagatas, empowerment, to you, commitment, glorious, Hum), and continuously ring the bell. The disciples enter and prostrate. As they sit in their places, the master gives this instruction: Although you are entering from outside the mandala room, here the mandala curtain is a concession for the sake of expediency.
