Namo Guru Lokeshvaraya. Eliminating the suffering of the endless three realms, The Lord of Compassion, the Lama, the supreme deity, Having prostrated, a little cloud offering that greatly pleases the supreme activity, is slightly spread. This has three parts: preparation, main part, and conclusion. The first has two parts: preparation not belonging to the ritual and preparation belonging to the ritual. The first is: In a secluded and agreeable place, On the seat, with colored powder or cloth painting, or a mandala of clusters manifestly arranged, in the center, a vase of essence and so on, and if related to empowerment, then gathering the empowerment substances such as the equipment of other wisdom empowerments, around which medicine, alcohol, and torma are arranged beautifully with offerings and so on. Nearby, place the preliminary torma and the gathering equipment. In front of oneself, a vajra, bell, damaru, activity vase, inner offering, and so on, gather all the necessary equipment. Secondly, purify the tantra, cut off boundaries, meditate on the protective circle. Open the door of mudras and salute with mudras. Vows descend, bless the offering substances. Thus, of the eight, first, the lineage prayer goes first. Visualize the mandala of the Lama and the nine deities of Lokeshvara pervading the sky.
