The Fire Puja Ritual of Extracting the Essence of Amitayus, Called "Bestowing the Light of Immortality." The Fire Puja Ritual of Extracting the Essence of Amitayus, Called "Bestowing the Light of Immortality." The Fire Puja Ritual of Extracting the Essence of Amitayus, Called "Bestowing the Light of Immortality," is hereby written. Om Swasti Siddham. (May there be auspicious accomplishment!) The firewood that transforms grasping, the fire of wisdom, To the ultimate root guru, Amitayus, the protector, Having prostrated, I compose this method of fire puja, As a source for bestowing the light of immortality. This has four parts: preparation, main practice, subsequent ritual, and a brief mention of other supplementary meanings. The first part has two: preparation that does not belong to the ritual, and preparation that belongs to the ritual. The first is: If the ground is untamed, then imagine yourself instantly transforming into the red form of Hayagriva, holding a vajra chopper and a threatening mudra. Recite: Om Vajra Krodha Haya Griva Hulu Hulu Hum Phat (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) a little. Offer a torma to the ground spirits. Recite: Om Hana Hana Krodha Hum Phat (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, Sanskrit Romanization, Chinese literal meaning) one hundred and eight times, and by knowing that all phenomena are without inherent existence, perform the purification of both the conventional and ultimate levels. Having thus purified the ground, on an auspicious site, make a square platform with a smooth surface and white color, smeared with cow dung. Draw the lines of the mandala according to the general practice, one cubit high from the center, and outside of that, encircle it with circles of four finger-widths each. In the center, encircle it with four finger-widths and draw a white vajra, and outside of that, draw eight lotus petals. Outside of that, draw a fence with decorations and an opening, and on the opening, draw a vajra chain. On the four corners of the platform, draw crescent-shaped vajras, according to the general practice of a peaceful fire altar. On top of that, pile up auspicious firewood in a circular shape for pacification. Place a stove with a tripod in the southeast of the altar. To your right, place the fire offering substances, such as soapberries, palash, or white willow, etc., peaceful kindling wood of moderate height, as well as butter, sesame seeds, yogurt, rice, barley, wheat, beans, grains, durva grass, and kusha grass, the eleven great substances. All of these should be arranged in two sets, according to the order of transcendent and mundane. If there are no containers, then arrange one set of fire offering substances, and when offering to the worldly fire god, leave a little bit aside, and then mix it into the offerings to be offered to the transcendent deities, which is the usual practice. If the offerings and containers are prepared, then change them to white.

Ur. Also, since rhododendron and butter are the main components of the burning materials, they are indispensable. Even if the other items are not fully prepared, there is no fault in lacking them. For completing recitations and purifying sins, use sesame seeds. To pacify diseases, use wheat. To pacify obstacles to life, use turmeric. To pacify obstacles, use mustard seeds, etc., and according to the situation, whatever is needed should not be missing and should be fully prepared. On one's left side, prepare medicine, alcohol, torma, two waters, and offerings for the deceased deities. For the fire deity, prepare two waters, offerings, and torma. In front of oneself, place the vajra bell, pouring vessel, hand drum, inner offering, flowers, incense water, etc., as well as the fire, flame, fan, and bunch of kusha grass that are conducive to the activity. Secondly, after bathing oneself and wearing white clothes, sit in the lotus position facing east. If the self-generation of the deity has not been done before, do it here. Prepare offering tormas for the Dharma protectors, and if doing a gathering feast, lower the face covering. For the activity vase, perform the generation and recitation of Hayagriva extensively, or use incense water and recite the mantra Oṃ Vajra Krodha etc. about a hundred times to bless it into the nature of wrathful nectar. In this way, cut off other speech, hold the vajra, and recite Oṃ Mahā Vajra Hūṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ་མ་ཧཱ་བཛྲ་ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:ॐ महा वज्र हुं,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ mahā vajra hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Om, Great, Vajra, Hum), vibrating it at the heart. Hold the bell and recite Oṃ Vajra Gandhe Āḥ (藏文:ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་གྷནྡྷེ་ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:ॐ वज्र घन्धे आः,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ vajra gandhe āḥ,汉语字面意思:Om, Vajra, Scent, Ah), ringing it and leaning it against the waist. With both hands in the embracing mudra at the heart, recite Oṃ Sarva Tathāgata Mahā Anurāgaṇa Vajra Svabhāva Ātmakoñhaṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ་སརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏ་མ་ཧཱ་ཨ་ནུ་རཱ་ག་ཎ་བཛྲ་སྭ་བྷཱ་ཝ་ཨཱཏྨ་ཀོཉཧཾ།,梵文天城体:ॐ सर्व तथागत महा अनुरग ण् वज्र स्वभाव आत्मा कोञहं,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ sarva tathāgata mahā anurāga ṇa vajra svabhāva ātmā koñhaṃ,汉语字面意思:Om, all tathagatas, great, love, vajra, nature, I am), and take the three samayas. Do not separate the hands from the vajra bell. Sprinkle incense water with the activity mantra three times clockwise. Bless the offerings, medicine, torma, and rakta for the deceased and non-deceased according to the ritual text. Touch the substances universally and individually with the one-pointed vajra mudra, and recite Oṃ Svāhā (藏文:ཨོཾ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།,梵文天城体:ॐ स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ svāhā,汉语字面意思:Om, Accomplishment), visualizing the cleansing of the substances. For the rhododendron, recite Oṃ Āḥ Svāhā (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿསྭཱ་ཧཱ།,梵文天城体:ॐ आः स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ āḥ svāhā,汉语字面意思:Om, Ah, Svaha). For the butter, recite Oṃ Śrī Svāhā (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཤྲཱི་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།,梵文天城体:ॐ श्री स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ śrī svāhā,汉语字面意思:Om, Auspicious, Svaha). For the grains, recite Oṃ Jriṃ Svāhā (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཛྲིཾ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།,梵文天城体:ॐ ज्रिं स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ jriṃ svāhā,汉语字面意思:Om, Jrim, Svaha). For the other substances, recite Oṃ Kuru Kuru Svāhā (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཀུ་རུ་ཀུ་རུ་སྭཱ་ཧཱ།,梵文天城体:ॐ कुरु कुरु स्वाहा,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ kuru kuru svāhā,汉语字面意思:Om, Do, Do, Svaha). After reciting, purify all the impure faults of the substances and transform them into emptiness. From the state of emptiness, the letters of each name are adorned with bindus, completely transformed, and from that, the characteristics of each of the burning substances are completely perfected, possessing the nature of wisdom nectar and the special function of accomplishing peaceful activities. Om, Ah, Hum) three times.
