Without having done any of the five, the karmic limit is not reversed. Entering with faith in the Buddha's teachings, having faith in the place, that is, the five endowments gathered by one's own continuum. The Buddha appeared in the world, he taught the Dharma, the teachings he taught remain in the world, after the teachings, oneself and others enter, possessing the favorable conditions for Dharma and mundane affairs, that is, the five endowments gathered by others' continuums. One's own endowments and leisure are the same place. It is very rare to have all such characteristics, so it is difficult to obtain from the perspective of essence. It is difficult to obtain even that much, among sentient beings, there are very many who create the cause of evil destinies, and very few who create the cause of good destinies. Among them, the pure precepts that are the cause of a flawless leisure and endowment body, guarding the pure precepts is as rare as the hairline, so it is difficult to obtain from the perspective of cause. The result produced by that cause, from one's own perspective, is also like this. The three lower realms are as endless as the dust of the great earth. The higher realms are as rare as the dust on a fingernail, as stated in the scriptures. Moreover, it is obvious that the fewest of the three lower realms, animals, reside in the entire world, as inconceivable as the dregs of wine mash. Even scattered, they fill the earth, mountains, and rivers. For example, the sentient beings living on a pile of grass in summer are countless. Compared to that, the beings of gods and humans are as rare as the hairline. Among them, ordinary human beings, especially human bodies possessing the Dharma, are as rare as the hairline, so it is difficult to obtain from the perspective of number. Furthermore, suppose there is a single yoke with one hole drifting in all directions in the endless great ocean, and a blind turtle comes out of the ocean once every hundred years, the chance of its neck entering the yoke hole may exist, but obtaining a human body is even more difficult than that, as stated in the scriptures, so it is difficult to obtain from the perspective of metaphor. Not only is it difficult to obtain, but if obtained, it possesses great meaning. If one can through thought and action, one can obtain the happiness of this life, the status of gods and humans in the next life, the liberation of the lower vehicle, and the unsurpassed

Also, one can easily accomplish enlightenment. Therefore, like obtaining a wish-fulfilling jewel, even a hundred thousand similes cannot describe the auspiciousness of obtaining this human body. At such a time, one must by all means practice the pure Dharma that extracts the essence from this human body. Second, one must practice the Dharma quickly and diligently. If one is controlled by laziness and procrastination, know that all conditioned things are impermanent in general. In particular, among sentient beings, no one is born and remains alive without dying. All beings, including oneself, cannot escape death. Moreover, death comes suddenly, regardless of age, and one cannot know when one will die. The body is as fragile as a water bubble, the breath is as easily dissipated as autumn mist, and the mind is like a blind person wandering in an empty wilderness, without autonomy. Even the food and clothing that one relies on for survival become causes of death, so there are many causes of death, and once the time comes, there is no way to prevent it, so there are few causes of survival. In short, between this life and the next, there is only this series of breaths. Once the breath stops, one enters the next life, so one does not know whether tomorrow or the next life will come first. At that time, even if one has great enjoyment, power, wealth, and fame, none of it will follow oneself even to the slightest extent, and only the excellent Dharma can benefit oneself. Therefore, do not be attached to the happiness and fame of this fleeting life like lightning in the clouds, and from today on, resolve to practice the pure Dharma of death and put it into action. Third, it would be good if everything disappeared after death. But we, who have not exhausted our karma and defilements, can only rely on karma and its results, and involuntarily be reborn again and again in the cycle of existence. Samsara does not go beyond the evil and good realms. If one is born in the three lower realms, hell beings suffer the pain of heat and cold, cutting and chopping; hungry ghosts suffer the pain of hunger, thirst, and exhaustion; and animals suffer the pain of ignorance and servitude. These unbearable sufferings are both long and heavy. Even if one is fortunate enough to be born in a good realm, humans suffer birth, old age,
