From the perspective of the doctrine, although the five types of beings possess the Buddha-nature, this is only from the standpoint of provisional meaning. From the ultimate meaning, it is not so, because all phenomena are empty of inherent existence. Thus it is held. Fourth, regarding the statement in the Nirvana Sutra that Nirvana is the self-nature of the Buddhas of the past and future, the Sanskrit word for "self-nature" is "tāṇā ya" (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思), which means the proximate cause of self-nature, and also includes both the cause and the already arisen result. Statements such as these, which speak of possessing the Buddha-nature, are made from the perspective of the result. Then, the Venerable One said, "If one contemplates well the meaning of self-nature as the cause, etc., then all the key points will naturally be liberated." This was also recorded in the memorandum. The Nirvana Sutra states, "Those who are wise do not cling to the notion that there is a seed of the Dharmakaya in my body. If non-self is taught, then children will cling to the notion that there is no self. Those who are wise know that it exists only nominally, and therefore have no doubt. If it is taught that the essence of the Tathagata is emptiness, then children will cultivate nihilistic, fearful, and inverted views. Those who are wise know that permanence, stability, and immutability are merely illusions." In the second chapter of the Commentary on Valid Cognition, the term "Sugata" is explained as meaning the abandonment of causes, qualities, etc. That is, because of being accustomed to bliss, the former cause of attachment to self and what belongs to self is naturally prevented, and the distinction of having the characteristic of not giving rise to the latter is "abandonment." The three qualities are the three pervasions. That is the very going to bliss. If it is derived from the word "Sugata" in Sanskrit, although it has many meanings such as "gone well," here, if it is explained from the perspective of the three meanings of praise, non-return, and non-omission, then the first meaning is: because of seeing non-self, it is not praise, nor does it become a source of suffering, but rather goes to a place worthy of praise. And the cause of that is also because of seeing that there is no view of self, which is the root of suffering, or because of practice. The second meaning is: birth and faults are the origin of suffering, and it is said that they will return again. Because the seed of the view of self has been abandoned, there is no more going. That is the truth, different, the truth of self.

Because observing and speculating on what is not true is holding onto the inverted form. Thus it is said. The third is: The bad state of body, speech, and mind, without afflictions and without disease, the explanation of the path is unclear, that is the body, because of habituation, it is completely abandoned. Thus it is said. This is the meaning of refuting the object, etc. Attachment to the self, what is the object of this self, refuting its nature as without an object, otherwise it is impossible to abandon it. It is impossible to abandon the arising of attachment to its object, because it is merely observing its state of existence. Thus it is said. ༈. Even if there is an object, because of its subtlety, there is no obstruction to some, like water to gold, mercury to silver. Because it is unseen, it is not non-existent. Thus it is said. Completely eliminating the net of conceptualization, possessing a deep and vast body, the rays of light of Samantabhadra, shining from everywhere, I prostrate. ༈. Most people are attached to the mundane and lack the talent of wisdom, therefore, not only do they not seek the meaning of the good teachings, but they also hate them with the stains of jealousy. Having completely become like that, therefore, I do not have the thought that this is beneficial to others. The mind has long been habituated to the good teachings, in order to generate respect, therefore, joy arises in this. Thus it is said. In the second chapter, called the measure is the infallible one, existing in the ability to accomplish meaning, non-deception also arises from sound, in order to show the intention of manifestation. Thus it is said. In the commentary, to deceive is to deceive. That which exists within knowledge is the deceiver. That which does not have deception is the non-deceiver, that is, the meaning of what is called non-deception. Non-deception also enters only after completely determining the meaning, therefore, the self-nature ability of the meaning is established. As the desired meaning, such a nature of non-deception is the dharma of the object, and when one realizes that it has become like that, the non-deception of knowledge is the dharma of the object. That in which it exists, that is the knowledge with non-deception. Thus it is said. ༈. From the Vinaya Verse, then with great reverence, pay homage to the lama. Thus it is said. With the activities of meditation and reading, take the essence in the body. Merit that is satisfied with merely wearing robes, never do it. Thus it is said. Cutting off the five vows, and
