The reason is, in the Vinayavibhanga, it is said: The householder Anathapindika, the almsgiver, promised a poor Brahmin that if he observed the eight-branched fast, he would give him food. The Brahmin accepted. After sunset, he went to another Brahmin's house, where he had to eat something due to some reason, and the fast was broken. If he had passed away while keeping the fast, he would have been born in the Thirty-three Heavens, but because the fast was broken, he was born among the Four Great Kings and lived in a tree, etc. The history is extensively narrated. The Jataka of the Well-Gone Paramita is, this is the previous life of our teacher, when he entered the ocean in Golden Island with many merchants, and when they were afraid of untimely winds, he spoke the truth that, "By the truth that I have refrained from killing since I was able to know things, may this ship return from the ocean," and thus breathed in the desired place. This is explained in the thirty-fourth chapter of the Jataka. The Brahmin boy Star is, in the Great Secret Skillful Means Sutra, he practiced celibacy for forty-two thousand years, and later became particularly fond of a Brahmin girl, and when she tried to commit suicide, he took care of her household for twelve years with great compassion. Later, he renounced again and stayed in celibacy, and was born in the Brahma world, as it is said. The captain Great Compassion is, this is the previous life of our teacher, when he entered the ocean with five hundred merchants, a black man with a short spear appeared and tried to kill everyone. Unable to bear that he would be born in hell, he killed him there, thus accumulating merit for many eons, as it is said. Bodhisattva Flower Moon Beauty is, in the king's palace with five precious things, he led many sentient beings to the path of liberation. King Glorious Joy became jealous and cut his body into pieces, but by the power of his compassion, the king and many others were placed in liberation, as this method is taught in the Samadhiraja Sutra. Indra Eye Beauty is, this is the previous life of our teacher, when he took birth in the Thirty-three Heavens, but a great plague occurred to the people of Jambudvipa, and he himself became a deer called Deva.

Having transformed into something and given away the body, upon eating that flesh, all were liberated from illness. The history of the decline of lazy kingship, etc., is like the story of Sita being abducted from the Precious Treasury of Eloquence. The power of the loving king is the previous life of our teacher. He guided five destitute yakshas with great loving power, and gave away his warm flesh and blood. The story of making aspirations with "By this merit," etc., appears in the thirty-fourth chapter of the Jataka. The story of a helpless woman dying at the confluence of the Ganges and Yamuna rivers and being reborn in the world of Brahma is that a poor woman gave birth to a daughter. When the householder saw her, he drove her away. On the way to another place, she was blocked by the Ganges. She carried her daughter in her arms and crossed the river, but she died. The Nirvana Sutra says that she was reborn as a goddess due to the merit of loving her daughter. There, a heretical hermit by the riverbank knew this through clairvoyance and licked it, thinking it was the virtue of the water. Therefore, some practitioners who practice heretical asceticism also behave in this way. It is said that this is the case. The daughter of the captain's friend was initially kind to her mother. Later, her mother dissuaded her from going to sea, but she did not listen and stepped on her mother's head and left. Therefore, the ship sank in the middle of the sea, and all her friends died. She herself grabbed a copper ball and floated to an island. By the power of serving her mother before, she experienced many pleasures. Then she went south and reached a place on the edge of hell. A wheel of swords spun around her head. She realized that this was the result of stepping on her mother's head. As soon as she generated the mind to take on all the suffering of the three realms, the wheel rose into the sky. The story of pulling a fire cart in hell is that this teacher, when he was still an ordinary person, became a giant pulling a cart in the hell of sentient beings. He felt compassion for his friend and thought, "How wonderful it would be if I could bear his suffering!" After saying this, the hell guard angrily struck his head with a burning iron hammer and killed him. By this merit, he was reborn in the Thirty-Three Heavens. This is explained in detail in the Great Compassion White Lotus Sutra.
