Moreover, the first is also divided into two types: main and secondary. The first is the construction of supports for body, speech, and mind, and various activities such as drawing mandalas. The latter is mostly from the eighteen crafts. In speech craft, the main ones are the vajra songs that possess the six elements of melody, and those represented by Dharma teachings; the secondary ones are the expressions of songs that bring joy to worldly people, as well as words of desire and debates, etc. The main ones of mind craft are the three: hearing, contemplation, and meditation; the secondary ones are, as stated in the Vinaya, being proficient and sharp in discerning what to accept and reject. The science of medicine is one of the four sciences, and it has the same meaning as the life Veda that originated from the central face of Brahma. In addition, our teacher also separately taught from the Three Baskets and the great vajra places of the Tantras. The well-known "Glorious Four Tantras" is said to have been written by the wise Lekshe Tso, who extensively elaborated on the proofs that outwardly it is the Buddha's word, inwardly it is a pandita's treatise, and secretly it was composed in Tibet. King Pandita Buddha Abhi, what our teacher spoke in the Deer Park, was translated into Tibetan by Thero and Yuthok Nyingma. Another is the treasure, and the oral transmission residing in the face of the lord. The monk Monlam extracted it from the treasure, and Yuthok Sarma listened to the oral transmission and added some useful content for Tibet. Furthermore, the "Eight Branches" composed by Glorious Brave is summarized into six places: First, from color 1 to chapter 30; Second, body parts 6; Third, disease places 16; Fourth, treatment places 22; Fifth, ritual accomplishment 6; Sixth, the place of the afterlife, totaling 120 chapters. Its commentary was written by Kache Zawa Menda, and so on, there are many. The content to be explained is the eight branches, or the collection of what is to be treated, the healer, how to treat, and the four ways of the healer, although it can be elaborated in detail, it will not be expanded for now. The science of sound, which refutes wrong views, is the way to prove through the sound shown in the scriptures, with well-expressed language. Among them are common words.

按照语法学家的观点,《不朽之藏》中说:“能诠释的论典声音,具有sup(梵文,sup,后缀)和ting(梵文,tiṅ,动词后缀)结尾的是词。”对此,学诚大师说:“诠释事物本体的是名称,显示其差别的是词,什么也不显示的是文字。”对于非共同的语法所诠释的对象是,如“自性、基础和名称”所说,从经和论典中出现的基础,以及具有失去基础和变格意义的是符号或名称。语素是使声音的自性成为名称或词的任何一种,分为三种:使基础成为符号,成为词,成为基础;使符号成为符号,成为名称,成为基础,成为词,共有七种。

Regarding the object to be expressed, its essence is form and function, as well as definition, classification, summarization, and reading methods. Therefore, the letters and the Pramāṇavārttika say, "Two or three letters combined, which express the essence of things, are names, for the sake of focusing the mind on the meaning." And the Vākyadvāra says, "Names are of two kinds: original and subsequently established." The reason for this is that, without relying on reasons, like calling something hot and burning "fire," this is an arbitrary original name. Relying on reasons, using a previously known term to name something else, such as calling a Brahmin boy "lion" because he is like a Kashmiri with a snub nose, this is a subsequently established name. The latter also has what is called a "falsely established subsequent," such as calling the stiffness of the knee in a patient with wind disease "tongue wolf head," and the "consistent subsequent" that is used in accordance with the real name, such as calling something beneficial "medicine." Unrelated to either the real name or the falsely established name, such as calling Mars "auspicious," this is a "reversed subsequent," of which there are three kinds. Furthermore, there are naming the cause as the result, such as purgatives and emetics; naming the result as the cause, such as bile disease and wind disease; naming the support as the supported, such as life-sustaining wind; naming the part as the whole, such as all kinds of medicines being complete; naming the particular as the general, such as nutmeg bringing happiness; naming the main one as camphor 25; from the perspective of ability, it is the mixture of precious hot and cold; from the perspective of function, such as bloodletting and cauterization, and so on. Regarding words, what is widely known in all the scriptures is that the Pramāṇavārttika says, "Two or more names, which express the difference of things, are the words taught by the Dharma, which are the collection of letters." According to the grammarians, the Amarakośa says, "The expressive treatise sound, which has sup (Sanskrit, sup, suffix) and ting (Sanskrit, tiṅ, verb suffix) endings, is a word." To this, Master Lobzang says, "What expresses the essence of things is a name, what shows its difference is a word, and what shows nothing is a letter." The object to be expressed by non-common grammar is, as it says, "nature, base, and name," the base that appears from the sutras and treatises, and what has the meaning of losing the base and case endings is a symbol or name. A morpheme is anything that makes the nature of a sound into a name or word, and is divided into three types: making the base into a symbol, into a word, into a base; making the symbol into a symbol, into a name, into a base, into a word, of which there are seven.
