A Short Explanation Clarifying the Distinctions of Vehicles, Called "Clear Illumination." A Short Explanation Clarifying the Distinctions of Vehicles, Called "Clear Illumination." A Short Explanation Clarifying the Distinctions of Vehicles, Called "Clear Illumination" exists. Homage to the Guru. The illusion that completely transcends the limits of existence and peace, here, together with the divine teacher, the supreme Shakya, bestows auspiciousness. He, in accordance with the realms, faculties, and intentions of beings, with various skillful methods of the vehicles, although unable to think partially, for the time being, following the renowned and stable Ancient Translation Secret Mantra, I will focus on explaining the classification of the nine vehicles, condensed into their essence. These are the Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Bodhisattvas, called the guides to the source, gathered by the subject matter of the Three Baskets. Separately, from the perspectives of view, meditation, conduct, and the four fruits, firstly, the Hearers themselves are also divided into the Vaibhashika and Sautrantika schools. The former proclaims that all knowable phenomena are gathered into the five aggregates: appearing form, the primary mind, its retinue of mental factors, non-associated formations, and unconditioned phenomena. That is, the moment of grasping consciousness arises, and indivisible particles are considered to be truly established; other than that, all that is worthy of investigation is considered conventional. The latter school refutes the subtle truth of the grasped and the grasper, secretly promising only imputation. They say that the unconditioned is produced, but it is not substantially existent because it is liberated from conditions. The meditation of both is suffering, the origin, cessation, and path truths, and these are also divided into four fours, meditating on the sixteen aspects of the four truths. The conduct is aimed at one's own peace and happiness, and the object is any of the eight vows of individual liberation, taking whichever one, and combining it with the vows of restraint and engagement. The result is to abide in listening, thinking, and long-term meditation, becoming accustomed to it and attaining supreme wisdom, gradually abandoning the defilements and outflows. The Stream-enterer, Once-returner, Non-returner, and Arhat are divided into two stages of entry and abiding, attaining them and becoming liberated from existence. Secondly, the Solitary Realizer Vehicle, the view is that the external object of grasping is determined to be without reality, but they believe that the grasping mind is truly established, therefore,

Desire to understand this thoroughly. The outer and inner meditations, understanding that they arise from the law of dependent origination, and by practicing the law of reversal, it proclaims the cutting of the root of existence. In conduct, without violation, breakage, defeat, or fall, the discipline is stainless, and one engages with it with a very pure mind. The fruit is as precious as a rhinoceros horn, requiring hundreds of eons and three lifetimes of accumulation and practice, in order to attain enlightenment alone, not aiming for the benefit of others. Third, the Bodhisattva Vehicle, liberated from the inferior path, is the supreme source of the sons of the Buddhas because of the seven great perfections. Here, due to the difference in views, it is divided into two: Mind-Only and Madhyamaka. From the waving banner of fame, the former considers all external appearances and inner consciousness as mind, with truth and falsehood. Because of acknowledging this difference, it is divided into two schools. Among them, the first is further divided into those who believe that the number of the grasped and the grasper are equal, and four kinds such as dividing an egg in half, or saying that multiplicity is not dual. The second is divided into defiled falsehood and undefiled purity. The latter Madhyamaka school is further divided into Svatantrika and Prasangika. The former believes that all phenomena exist on the conventional, illusory level, but on the ultimate wisdom level, there is no appearance. Because of being able to function and not being able to function, it is divided into true and false conventional truths, and because of transcending and not transcending the extremes of elaboration, it is divided into non-nominal and nominal ultimate truths. In particular, with the five great reasons, one measures with reason that all phenomena are emptiness, that is, all things are never born from self, other, both, or without cause. Therefore, it is without self-nature. What exists cannot be born, and what does not exist is like a lotus in the sky. Many things are not one, and similarly, one is not many. Many things cannot produce many, and one cannot produce one. Therefore, from the very beginning, it has truly transcended one and many. However, that emptiness can exist as dependent origination and appearance. These are the words of the Svatantrika school, like the other shore of a reservoir. The latter attained the Joyful Land, the glorious Nagarjuna, raised the great victory banner of the Prasangika school, up to the peak of existence.
