After explaining the collection of praises to "La," the collection of reasoning was explained to prevent the extreme of existence. As it says in the "Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning": "For a moment, the place where all faults arise, after completely refuting non-existence, by what reasoning is existence also refuted? Please listen to that reasoning." Also, in the Lankavatara Sutra, the noble one (Nagarjuna) was prophesied, saying: "He will be called Naga, who will destroy the sides of existence and non-existence." Also, in the Manjushri Root Tantra, the noble one was prophesied, saying: "Many treatises on the meaning of the elements, and the true reasoning of the meaning of non-reality." And so on, it is extensively explained. In many other Completion Stage teachings, it is also said: "Transcending existence and non-existence." And so on, and "neither existence nor non-existence," and so on, the meaning of what is said so much is that the basis of being free from all extremes is the Middle Way, the intermediate, the third aggregate of neither male nor female, which is the state of Vajrasattva. Furthermore, these conventional appearances and sounds are the play of dharmata, the play of the three kayas. Also, mind, consciousness, and illusion are Buddha, the stainless awareness, all that appears is the Nirmanakaya, all that is emptiness is the Dharmakaya, all that is awareness is the Sambhogakaya, and the inseparable Svabhavikakaya. And so on, it is also that it is not that, but it is that. This is imputation. In essence, there is no Buddha, no Bodhi, no wisdom, no Tathagatagarbha. And so on, this is also defamation. Merely in convention, there is no cause and effect, no past and future lives, no dependent arising, no other arising from other. And so on, this is also a view of defamation. The former is defamation of the ultimate truth, and the latter is defamation of the conventional truth. Similarly, to believe that there is a self of a person in essence is imputation. To believe that there is no self of dharmata is defamation. To believe that there is a nature of imputation and dependence in essence is imputation. To believe that there is no nature of perfect accomplishment in dharmata is defamation. To believe that there is a self of a person and phenomena in essence is imputation. To believe that the self of suchness, the pure self, does not exist is defamation. To believe that there is consciousness in essence is imputation. Wisdom
