It is said that in these passages, all dharmas are merely names. Then, in the first line, it is shown by "etc." that when the names "form" and "feeling" are spoken, it is not merely showing the name itself, but because the name is mentioned first, one must only keep the things in mind. How are things merely names like form, etc.? Because someone asked this. Feeling. Then, in the third line, it is said that if things like form, etc., do not exist, and only exist, then where would it reside, and where would it reside so that it would not disappear, and even the name would disappear. Therefore, the so-called "merely a name" is a synonym for "unreasonable." Then, where there is no line, it is "hundred." It is said that the Blessed One said this: Form, etc., are not the nature of names. If it is only the nature of names, then just by saying it, even those who do not understand the relationship will understand the nature, differences, and various forms through these things. But those understandings are not understandings either, so the name is another matter, and things like form are another matter, for the sake of convenient expression, things are given names later. Therefore, form, etc., are not the nature of names. "Sudden" means coming later, and is a synonym for "artificial." "The object of characteristics" means that because it arises from cause and condition, it is "formation." Because it appears in consciousness, it is a "characteristic." Because it is the nature of things, it is a "thing," and a thing is a synonym for the basis on which the dharma of formation appears. Like this. Then, where there is no line, Maitreya, because he could not bear the suddenness, said this. Then, in the first line. "Will not change," etc., thus pleading that if there are only no things, and only seeing no things, this is unreasonable and will not change. Even if things are not seen, things should be understood merely by saying the name. If the name 'form' is not its nature, then even if the name is spoken, those who do not understand the relationship of the name will understand 'it is form.'
