Just as the width of water is hidden like a wheel, and in the past, the Buddha's body and stupas were restored, and fearful beings were relieved, from the unparalleled great teacher Buddha, the power of the son of non-existence is possessed, and the body is as hard as a vajra, tall and upright, and endowed with all beauty. In this way, ordinary people cannot imagine, and the thirty-two marks of the splendor of glory that blazes forth are the teachers of gods and humans, the all-knowing ones, the kings of men, and the excellent qualities of great beings, which are clearly stated in the sutras, and these are also recorded here. This is what is said. Combining symbolic metaphors to summarize: What is the metaphor like? Just as the moon in autumn, in a cloudless season, appears perfectly in the center of the sky; the blue water of autumn, in a clear and immaculate lake, appears in the same way, the meaning is also the same, the ten bhumi bodhisattvas and ordinary disciples, the two forms of the all-pervading Buddha's enjoyment body and emanation body, appear in sequence in the mandala of the perfect Buddha and the mandala of the world. This is what is said. For example, the enjoyment body seen by the bodhisattva is like the moon in the sky, and the emanation body seen by ordinary people is like the moon in the water. This is what is said. The way to understand from the scriptures is: Thus, the ten powers of the Tathagata, the four fearlessnesses, the eighteen unshared dharmas of the Buddha, the thirty-two marks of a great being, the sixty-four qualities of the Buddha, each and every one possesses the cause that makes the qualities possessed by the Dharmakaya free from defilement, and the cause that gradually arises the qualities possessed by the Rupakaya, just like the number and order shown here. Following the Mahayana teachings of the "Ratnakuta Sutra"

Thus, to know as it is. That is the meaning. Again, there are two aspects to the teachings: generally explaining the reasons why the metaphors and meanings correspond, and explaining them separately. Among these, the general explanation is: The ten powers of the Tathagata are likened to a vajra because they are unbreakable in their respective distinct aspects; the four fearlessnesses are likened to a lion because of their unwavering courage; the eighteen unshared qualities are likened to the sky because they are unlike those of the Shravakas and others, and are not shared; the two form bodies with excellent marks are likened to the moon because, although the Dharmakaya is like the sky and unmoving, it appears to those to be trained. Therefore, these four categories of qualities are shown, in order, by the examples of the physical substance of the vajra, the king of beasts, the lion, the unconditioned sky, and the moon appearing in clear water. That is the meaning. There are two aspects to the separate explanations: explaining the qualities of the Dharmakaya, which is the result of separation, and explaining the qualities of the Rupakaya, which is the result of maturation. There are two aspects to the result of separation: the way of representing by separating with metaphors, and the way of combining without differentiation. There are three ways of representing: representing the powers with the vajra, representing the fearlessnesses with the lion, and representing the unshared qualities with the sky. There are two aspects to the way of representing with powers, of which the individual ways of representing are: The ten powers, such as the power of knowing what is and is not the place, etc., from these powers, the first six powers, the middle three powers, and the last power, in order, remove the obscurations of knowledge, the obscurations of meditative absorption, and the obscurations together with their predispositions, and are therefore like a vajra, because the three obscurations exist like armor, walls, and trees, so the powers, in order, pierce, destroy, and cut them. That is the meaning. The common way of representing is: firmness, essence, stability, and indestructibility, because they possess the four qualities of virtue, therefore, all the ten powers of the great sage, the fully enlightened Buddhas, are...
