Pray with one-pointed devotion! Because it is a place of happiness in the high realms, without falling into the place of hell, may you attain the irreversible ground! Again, offering the torma: བཾ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Tibetan) བཾ་ཧཱུྃ༔ (Sanskrit Devanagari) vam hum (Sanskrit Romanization) Vam Hum (Literal Chinese meaning) The torma is endowed with the five desirable qualities, fulfilling all needs and enjoyments. In order to purify the suffering of hunger and thirst accumulated by the deceased's miserliness, offer it to the assembly of living demons and dead iron. After you all rejoice in enlightenment, please have a beneficial mind. For the three, consciousness, mind, and spirit of the deceased, do not entangle, do not harm, quickly release, and do not obstruct the path of liberation. Offer with the mantra of the wrathful mother. Then bathe: བཾ་ཏྲཾ༔ (Tibetan) བཾ་ཏྲཾ༔ (Sanskrit Devanagari) vam tram (Sanskrit Romanization) Vam Tram (Literal Chinese meaning) The blessed one from the source of jewels, the water of the nature of the Buddha's eye mother, with the water of generosity well distributed, may it purify the stain of miserliness. Perform the bath, the excellent bath, may you find rest in the glorious realm. Alas! Listen, son of the lineage! You are a great sinner with bad karma, due to the ripening of miserliness and stinginess, now born in the realm of pretas. Pretas have outer and inner obscurations, the harm of fire tongues, wheels, and sky-goers. Hunger, thirst, poverty, and suffering are very difficult to endure.
