The root teachings of the six great volumes, Ztsa11, entitled 'A Verse on Reversing Arguments' 'A Verse on Reversing Arguments' In Indian language, it is called 'Vigrahavyāvartanīkārikānāma' (Sanskrit: विग्रहव्यावर्तनिकारिकानाम, IAST: Vigrahavyāvartanīkārikānāma, literally: 'Verses on Reversing Arguments'). In Tibetan, it is called 'A Verse on Reversing Arguments'. Homage to youthful Mañjuśrī! If all things do not possess an inherent nature that is universally present, then your words should also be without inherent nature and unable to reverse anything. However, if these words possess inherent nature, then your previous commitment has already failed. If difference is the same, please state the specific reason. Like not making a sound, if you think so in your mind, that is unreasonable. Because the existence of sound here is what causes the reversal to occur. If you think that the reversal of reversal is also like that, that is also not good, because there is a fault in your commitment, and we do not have it. Temporarily assuming that things are identified and reversed through manifestation, then by what are things identified? That manifestation does not exist. What are the subsequent inference, scripture, and measurement by example, and what is the thing to be proven by inference and scripture, and what is the meaning to be proven by example? Manifestation has already answered these questions. The wise are proficient in the state of dharmas, and for virtuous dharmas, they think of them as the nature of virtue, and so on for the remaining dharmas. Those dharmas that necessarily appear are the states of dharmas that are spoken of, which are the nature of necessary appearance, whether or not the nature necessarily appears, and so on. If dharmas have no inherent nature, then the name 'no inherent nature' will also not exist, because without a basis, a name cannot exist. However, if inherent nature exists, but it is not in the dharmas, then it is therefore necessary to point out that inherent nature that abandons the dharmas. Because just as the negation of saying 'there is no vase in the house' exists, therefore your negation also exists and has inherent nature. If that inherent nature does not exist, then what can your words negate? Even without words, the negation of non-existence can be perfectly established. Just as children mistakenly think that there is water in a mirage, similarly, if you negate the wrong clinging to non-existent things, then aren't the six: clinging, the clung-to, the clinger, negation, the negated, and the negator, existing? If clinging does not exist, the clung-to does not exist, and the clinger does not exist, then... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
